Clay County has been a welfare county ever since Widen closed down. Under the DEMOCRATS.
Good morning!
Actually, I was hoping somebody would come along & dispute these numbers with more recent ones. What a dismal picture.
So if we all vote Republican, will things change?
Are you doing good with the Democrat rule?
Hows the US doing with Rublican rule?
Talk about "dismal"! How 'bout that spelling & grammar?
With the Rubs & the Licans in charge, how bad can it be?
Our 5 time great grandchildren will dig us all up and kick our A** for putting Mansion in office because they will still be paying for the cost of special sessions.
A lot of us could probably stand to have our dead asses kcked nto gear already.
Sound's like some people are not happy camper's, Under the democratic rule.
Do your part to promote a healthy environment this weekend and volunteer for the 17th annual Great Kanawha River Cleanup. The event is set for Sept. 9. at 8 a.m.
Volunteers of all ages are needed to spruce up the banks of the Kanawha River. Groups are also welcome. The DEP will provide bags, gloves and t-shirts to all who participate.
The Great Kanawha River Cleanup is sponsored by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, local governments along the river and businesses such as American Electric Power, Princess Beverly Coal Company and Toyota Motor Manufacturing.
Cleanup sites will be located along the entire length of the river in Fayette, Kanawha, Putnam and Mason counties.
Volunteers are urged to wear long pants, hard soled shoes and work gloves. A parent or adult should accompany children under the age of 18.
In the event of lightning or high winds, the cleanup will be postponed until Sept. 16.
Individual volunteers and groups should register for the cleanup by calling Chris Cartwright at (800) 322-5530 or by e-mail at ccartwright@wvdep.org.
The Great Kanawha River Cleanup is part of Governor Manchin’s Rehabilitation Environmental Action Plan initiative under the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection. All of West Virginia’s volunteer-
driven cleanup programs fall under REAP- The Next Generation.
LOL I think not, sirhenry.
Why, they'll be offering you a high-paying job in no time!! If they don't, I'm sure some presidential candidate will - with spin like that, you could teach dance lessons on the side!! LOL
Everyone get those bags of trash thrown in the river tonight so the EPA Kanawha river clean up won't be a total flop. You could even help them get out of the county by hauling them down to Big Chimney before you toss them in the river. We have got to have a few bags left over from the flooding last week that we can donate.
sirhenry60.......not even the school system could help you. Stupid is as stupid does.......or in your case......says.
Or in your case, anon ... IS.

Was the atmosphere as funky as they say?
I don't think exploration of Uranus is possible. The atmosphere is so saturated with sulphur & methane, it could be fatal.
But for who, the explorer or the exploree. One could wear a gas mask for that fantastic vayage.
Awh Rose! come out and play, the air is clear now.
Umm...oooookaaaay. (One thing's for sure...there is always a wide variety of topics to browse through when I come by to say hello. LOL)
