Googled the heck out of them first, checked them out with the BBB & then sent in my mateless earrings & a coupla broken chains & an old necklace from a boyfriend 20 years behind me. So I figure if they rip me off, I'm not out anything & in fact, have gained some room in my jewelry box.
I mailed my stuff last Thursday, they got it Tuesday & according to their "Track Your Shipment," my check is in the mail!!
The anticipation of finding out how much that check is is killing me!! LOL I'm thinking ... 11 bucks. Anybody else wanna weigh in with a guess?
Ms Rose since you brought it up, have you noticed all the diamonds they are scooping up on that commercial? They pay for the gold but the diamonds are a bonus and probably worth more then the gold is once they get them out of the necklace, earrings or diamond rings. Yep they sure are ripping people off and probably causing more breakins then is known just to steal the gold out of homes by the druggies.
LOL I'd venture to guess that anybody who sends in diamonds just to get a few bucks for some scrap gold probably deserves to get ripped off. Do you really think druggies would go through all the hassle of breaking in & stealing stuff & then sending it off & waiting for a check in the mail? I've never been a druggie, but I'd be more inclined to pawn something I'd gone to all the trouble to steal.

You would be surprised how much stuff is sent in the the gold buying outfits and how many people have gold and dollars on their minds not diamonds when they send it.
As for the dopers and why to get the next pill or crack is a sure way to go to pawn shops but stealing gold and jewelry from someone and selling to local pawn shops also leads to arrest. Mailing it in for dollars is a good way to keep from doing that
