Those of you who knew & loved Jim the way I did know just how I feel right now - shocked that such a good man is no longer with us, sad that life will go on without him, blessed beyond words to have known him.

My deepest condolences to his entire family - the ones God chose for him *and* the ones he chose for himself.

Bomont is a sad, sad place today.

Word has it on the street that Miss Hillary is gona be the new vice prez the next go around.

Anonymous said...

She won't be voted in,her and the present vice prez are gona trade jobs
Like in the good ol boys club here in Clay.

How a bout we all occupy Clay and throw all the bums out that Waddell keeps a talking about.
It would probably take that many to pick up the Sheriff.

Anonymous said...

Just grab him by one of his chins and lead him out.

Poopy' gittin to be an old name , How bout the pink panther?

Anonymous said...

pink panther?

Thats the Ace flube reporters name so ya can't use that. Poopy will have to do.

Anonymous said...

What's he going to do after he retires after next November? Be top cop for the town? The streets need some cleaning up.

Holcomb made Slack chief deputy,
Slack will be the new sheriff and he will make Holcomb the new chief deputy,so young Holcomb can get in enough time to draw a pension from the sheriff' assoc.

Poopy' the one who likes pink panties, from what Mel said.

The voters in Clay County can put an end to the select few runing things by voting against Slack and firing the rest when a new sheriff is elected. Slack holds two tax payer paid jobs already along with the rest around the sheriffs office. Isn't this what other counties have been in the news about for double dipping?

Vote for the other guy pretty boy Slack will have time to primp while driving bus.

Anonymous said...

That would be the best for the county, but it will never happen.
Poopy and Slack will be living high come retirement age, with 4 checks maybe more coming into the house hold. That's if they manage to keep their wives.

Anonymous said...

No it will never happen in Clayberry because people have short memories and its run by people like the Democrat of the Year.

Vote for the other guy whoever it is

Anonymous said...

That sounds good to me...

Behind every successful there is a good women, look what Channey did for Bush.
Now with Hillary as the vuice Prez. it's gota be a win win situation.

Anonymous said...

Now the school board wants another levy passed in Clayberry. I supposed the last millions they misused is gone and not forgotten about. I wonder if all the teachers will be threatened this time around so they will vote for it since their raise was stolen and they said never again will a levy be passed here. Well we will have to help make sure it don't get passed again so start now and pass the word. VOTE NO ON SCHOOL ripoff (opps I mean levy)

Hillery dickery dock the mouse ran up the crock he fell within and spoiled the gin.
Now what are we going to drink on election day?

Anonymous said...

Sounds like something the bucket man would say.
Wonder how he's doing, bet he will be warm this winter.

Medicare up $3.50 a month

Anonymous said...

So that will make it around $118.50 a month.

Anonymous said...

Gona snow tonight, yippy!

Anonymous said...

The folks that have been on it awhile will be paying $99.50.

Anonymous said...

It won't look so bad after they give everybody a $3.25 per month raise but rest assured it will cost more then the COLA as it always does. Senators got a $22,000.00 per year raise in 2009 so they had to take the COLA from the seniors and disabled to get that. Nice to make $144,000.00 a year in a state where the average income is less the $14,000.00 and in a county where its under $10,000.00. Makes you want to pay more into the system so they can fleece you really good.

(quote)That means the three-fourths of Medicare recipients whose premiums have been frozen at the 2008 rate of $96.40 a month keep more of next year's highly anticipated Social Security raise.

Some younger beneficiaries who enrolled recently have been paying $115.40. They'll save $15.50 a month.(unquote)
The new rate is $99.90.

Anonymous said...

I have been on it since 1993 and it's $115.00 now. How long you got to be on it to get a reduction?

Anonymous said...

Speaking of depths of Hell West Virginia summer, it can get warm again anytime soon.

Speak up women, what's the word?

Anonymous said...

Thunderbird!

Anonymous said...

You mean like in the wine?

Time to turn a new page and get started campaigning against the misuse of funds by the school board.

VOTE NO on the Levy in Jan 2012

Anonymous said...

That's the word.
Yes vote no especially since there is no oversight or no rules in how the money is spent. The teachers have to vote or else! Us laymen have to get out and vote to defeat this wonton waste of tax money.

Anonymous said...

And now we have a new face in the zoo of monkeys running for Sheriff on the Demo ticket, finally.
Vote for Sam Morris, twice if you can.

Anonymous said...

I would vote for anybody before I would vote for "primpy" and the rest of the fat sheriffs departments theives.

Anonymous said...

Rose, you are doing a public service by keeping this blog going. Those in the know are keeping the rest of us informed of the goings on in the tar pit of Clay county.
Thanks.

ROSE said...

Y'all just write in "Rose Cantrell" & "Willie Nelson" everywhere there's a write-in opportunity (or not - you can write in the margins) & let's see what happens.

Anonymous said...

When is the next election?

Anonymous said...

Who is Rose?

Anonymous said...

Boy now wouldn't that just pee off the select few in this county as they have stronarmed the public long enuff. You got my write in vote for sheriff. By the way put an add in the Free Press and the gag rag with the ace flube reporter.

Anonymous said...

But who is Rose?

Anonymous said...

"A Rose by any other name would smell just as sweet"
Shakespeare

Anonymous said...

Your saying this Rose will let us smell it, think twice young men.

Anonymous said...

What the hell are you a dog?

Anonymous said...

Been called worse.

Anonymous said...

Here kitty kitty.

Anonymous said...

Darn cat just won't come home, to many dogs around.

Anonymous said...

Rose is that sweet lookin lady at the top left of the page. So now you know who to vote for for sheriff of Clayberry. She can't do no worse then boss hog and guber.

Anonymous said...

Goober is going to appoint Boss Hog top deputy when Goober wins the election.

Anonymous said...

Did you hear the one about the old woman was so full of hot air she could blow up an onion bag?

Anonymous said...

Blow Hillary blow.

Anonymous said...

Election day on Tuesday the 8th? Who is running and for what? Is that Rosie running for sheriff?

Anonymous said...

It don't take good looks to make Sheriff. As a matter a fact, you can be ugly'r than sin, cause Holcomb got elected.
Willy could make it in a heart beat.
