WE'LL MISS YOU, JIM



James W. Kearns of Bomont went home to be with the Lord on Friday October 7, 2011. He was retired from Lucent Technologies. Jim was active at Reamer Gospel Tabernacle as a trustee, Sunday school teacher and youth leader. He was also involved with the community in the Masonic Lodge, Lions Club, Odd Fellows, Queen Shoals PSD, Clay youth athletics and basketball coach.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenna (Samples) and George Willard Kearns. He is survived by his wife Beverly (Samples) Kearns; son, Michael Kearns (Erica) of Clendenin; daughters, Lesa Hess (Jamie) of Powhatan, VA, and Patricia Taylor (Toby) of Bickmore, WV; grandchildren, Michael and Jamie Kearns, James Hess, Sarah, Seth and Rachel Kirk; great- grandchildren; McKinley and Kase.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday October 9 at Reamer Gospel Tabernacle with Pastor Clarence Deel officiating. Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday October 8 at Matics Funeral Home, Clendenin. Interment will be at Boone –Samples Cemetery, Bomont.
