The beauty of small town living...

Anyone? Anyone??

I've searched the internet & there's absolutely nothing out there worthy of taking up space here.  The weather is normal again, politicians are keeping a low profile, criminals are staying inside where it's cool & the gossip well seems to have run dry.  In the overall scheme of things, life is good.

Surely you can look on facebook and read where someone had gas and let it off as they post every aspect of their lives there.

Here's some good news. Amanda Moore got us a grant, and right now a crew is installing a play ground similar to the ones at Mcdonalds, at Spread Park. It'll be a good thing for the kiddys.

Big whoop ta do as its just more tax dollars wasted and probably will be there less then a week before the thieves have it ripped apart and gone.

Oh, good lord. Really, Anon? "Just more tax dollars wasted"? Honest to goodness, I think Jesus himself could come to Clay & somebody would gripe about him wasting our tax dollars & find something negative to say about it.

Kudos to Amanda! Everybody else wastes our tax dollars - at least somebody's trying to do something positive. What have all you bellyachers done lately?

Paid out taxes to the Sheriffs office so leachers could get lots of toys for the thieves to stal out of Spread Park like they done commodes a few years back. Also if Jesus did come to Clay County he would wipe out hipocrites for a paste time. John the holy roller would be first, then John the Catholics, John the Methodist, and then he would go after John the first baptist. Wouldn't have any time left for the tx thieves though

You seem to have a whole lot of hate built up in side of you. This can be preventable and curable, but first you have to get past the denial.

Sounds like the 11:30 poster has a problem with denial. I don't mean a river in Egypt.

How about them thar AEP bills coming in at double the normal rate after being out of power for 14 days and nights and they say its fair. After spending all my grocery money for gas this month to keep what I had left from last month I do believe a 14 day delay in paying AEP is in order.

Mine was $174 for the month, hardly nothing for a man of means

Means by no means, like many in the county.

Word has it AW had a massive heart attack this afternoon.
He had to pay his help and it darn near killed him.

Beings Waddell don't have enough down load speed, mine's 211, to post an update on his site from Thursday, here's a little tid bit.
Hiram Lewis post poned his trial for several months and Brent Boggs is now claiming insanity.
You wanta know any more, I'll have to run a fund raiser.

He's worked so hard he takes the weekends off anymore.
Looks like there is an opening for a new newscaster in Clay

AW was all up on Sudden Link until this last power outage and Frontier keep their services going for the most part. Sudden Link was not so sudden with some still out of service from them. Wildblue is the service to have now. Its just like tv satellite dish when it storms its out also

Anonymous said...

Well now Excede has the floor until AW finds out they don't have the service you are paying for. Up front contact the Attorney Generals office when they don't have the speeds you pay for. After all Wildblue and Hughesnet both were sued by Darrel McGraw and both lost the case and had to refund money to customers they bilked for lowspeed internet service. If ya see AW tell him how to get out to the two year contract by secking Darrel McGraw on them for advertising one speed and providing another. It works well when you get your money back, gt to drop the contract plus helps put them out of business and stops them from ripping people off.

By the way a class action suit is in the makings for Frontier also and I am waiting to get onboard cause I been paying for 3MB's for three years now and lucky to get 600kbs.

Anonymous said...

Do you need the phone # to get in touch with the lawyers?

Anonymous said...

For Exceede speed test use testmy.net flash type speed tests are notoriously inaccurate.
12.5 Mb yesterday down. For new users that don't like it you have 30 days to decide to quit it and go back to Frontier.

Hello hello, is there anyone in there?
We need another big storm to get this blog a rockin again.

Andy's comments about Exede are full of errors. He has a defective installation or he just don't know how to use a computer. I found out that using a router will slow down your upload speed. Yes they want to get paid on time you can use a credit card also. Mine gets 12Mb down sometimes 15Mb. Go here to get the straight skinny on Exede instead of misinformed rumors.

Well I can tell you now I was one of the first people in this county to try sattelite dish DSL and I am here to tell anyone around that it SUX as at first it was as fast as clicking on a website and as soon as you let up on the mouse it was there. The last day I used Hughesnet I was 22 minutes logging onto their webpage as over the months they continually slowed the speed down. Needless to say the Attorney General sued them for false and misleading advertisement thus EXCEDE..... Sudden Link SUX as bad if not worse as if the wind blows its out, clouds up its out, rain out for three days automatically, sun shines 70% chance of being out so there is no cure for it being slow or out of service its just a fact of life.

If you watch the video on AW's site count the people in each rr car. Funny how tourism flounders and then flops by the way side as you can't run a train and stay afloat when on a good day "maybe" each car has 4 people aboard

I live in the boonies. I don't have the disadvantage of trying out all these ISP's. It's either dial-up (ugh)or satellite. Hughes net or wild blue. I chose Wildblue. I have been a customer since 2005. I have never had to call support in that time including the new installation of Exede recently. No complaints 12Mb download speed. Heavy clouds will knock it out till the clouds pass.
I have been waiting a long time for the Digital Subscriber Line to arrive here but no joy including all the negative reports about it.
Excede has three tiers of usage the more you need the more you pay. Mine is working good so far at 7.5 GB at $49.95 a month and $9.95 to lease the modem. You can make one lifetime payment on that. Not for me I am too old.
They have business accounts too.

Check out the dining car. They are all in there stuffing themselves.

I forgot to mention if you are using a router on Exede it will slow down your upload speed a bit.

Here's something Waddell forgot to mention yesterday in his web update. He went on an on about RT Sizemore and never spoke a word on the passing of Willey Runion. Maybe it's cause his mind was all fogged up being since his radio trailer is on their parking lot. Regardless, I think it's down wright disrespectful.

Not a word mentioned about how R.T. traded wine for welfare cheese or the other items he traded either. No mention of the horsemeat he sold for hamburgers.

Uh huh and then on monday we will have no more post til we get this puppy to bed on tuesday, then on wednesday we may update but not likely unless we have some dumb bunny move from our wittle sheriff. Then it will be Friday again. Whew what a week every week we have when we get gubbermint grants to live on

Isn't that the way a lot of folks in Clay get by? And they don't even have to go to meetings or publish a paper or keep late hours or eat watermelon.

He missed the boat somewhere.
