A PUBLIC VIEWING FOR TROOPER WORKMAN WILL BE HELD AT CLAY COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, FROM 1:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. CCHS students will NOT be in attendance on Tuesday. FUNERAL SERVICES FOR TROOPER WORKMAN WILL BE HELD AT THE CHARLESTON CIVIC CENTER ON VIRGINIA STREET IN CHARLESTON, WEST VIRGINIA ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2012 AT 2:00 P.M. Out of respect for Trooper Workman, Clay County Schools will be CLOSED on Wednesday, September 5th.
Please remember their families in your prayers.

According to the WV Trooopers Association - http://www.wvtroopers.org/ - "All funds donated on our site after August 31, 2012 until a later date will be disbursed to the estates and/or beneficiaries of Corporal Marshall Bailey and Trooper Eric Workman."

Trooper Workman was an organ donor. There is no greater gift than the gift of life. Thank you, Trooper Workman's family, for allowing your loved one to continue to give after all he'd already given.

UPDATE: Senate Democrats failed to achieve cloture and thus prevent a filibuster on the legislation. Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) led the opposition to the bill, arguing that the nation’s debt overrode its obligations to help veterans get jobs, and only 5 Republicans voted to proceed with the debate, leaving Democrats two votes short of the 60 required to block a threatened Republican filibuster.
