OPEC was formed and enhanced by Jimmy "the fag" Carter and so began the USA and its people being held hostage. 9/11 was not the first attack on the twin towers either although it was the worst in history I for the USA. I to agree that NOBAMA will be our worst nightmare as long as he is in there which will not be long with Billary running the show. Some may think he is the Savior but will go down in history as the most destructive President to this nation after the Clinton Gore NAFTA which everyone has forgotten about already. Their North American Fair Trade Agreement set Bush up for the biggest downfall for a president and left him a trap none has seen the like since the Great Depression. The worst is yet to come and when the rest of the factories move to Mexico or China you will know the effects of NAFTA. Yes it was signed by the Democrats and Powers that be in office. Just remember Bush was put into office by Democrats not republicans so you can't blame the Republican Party for the mess.

Just heard on the news we could have $1.00 a gallon of gas come the first of 2009. I doubt the greedy people here will ever lower it as we are still higher then the national average. Of course it cost more to transport to Wv as they carry it on mules yet.
I drove through a small town in southwestern Virginia this morning and gas there was $1.48. We are getting closer to that dollar gas.
I read a news article that the cost of a barrel of oil has fallen 70% since the high of last summer. Do the math $4.19.9 a gallon of gas minus 70% would bring it down to about $1.27. Why are we still bending over?

You never hear of anyone complaining at the workplace about having to pee in a cup unless they have been using drugs. Does WVEA and Aclu think they have the perfect people all teaching school? Yes evidently they do they are still fileing lawsuits to prevent it. Who knows we might even have a mobile meth lab in the school buses with a deputy sheriff driving it. TEST them all let the test sort them out.

hey Rose whut you think of that new CLAY COUNTY economics authority that's trying to form. understand the authority fot CAEZ expired some three yrs. ago. never done much towards new jobs in CLAY co. no how. did keep the co. functioning through the acquisition of grant money for various purposes.
wonder who will inherit their DUNDON club house and camp ground if they re-form.
seems like they have established an org. for the acquisition of money for needy purposes and are able to pay their expenses by skimming 5% off each succesful grant that they acquire.
now FRAN has learned how to write grants. now if some one would learn how to get the CLAY co dumps EPA tested for and cleared, if possible, of discharging toxic waste. iT would be a miracle accomplishment worthy of an accolade from the rooftops.
Personally, I think anything that would improve the economic conditions in Clay would be fantastic. Unfortunately, we always seem to get a lot of ... well, good ideas with very little follow-through. Compromise doesn't have to mean everybody loses.
Regarding the drug testing of teachers ... good grief. Teachers are about the only ones left on the planet who aren't subject to drug testing & they're always the ones that protest the loudest. Teachers unions aren't opposed to testing when there's "just cause" or adequate suspicion. That's kinda like trying to put your seatbelt on as the cop is chasing you at 100 miles per hour.
Honestly, it's not like you can fire a teacher, anyway, so what difference would it make? Also, if "adequate suspicion" led to a negative result, the offended teacher would just sue & make way more money than s/he would ever make as a teacher.

Just talked to Mayor Brown he said Fat Fran got the Town another $10,000.00 Grant on top of the $200,000.00 dollar grant for the sidewalks. He told me she got the Grant for the Sprinkler System in the courthouse and another one something else for the county for about $250,000.00 and she has been talking to Rockefeller and Capto about locating that new prison somewhere in or around Clay County. I think we may have a good one in ole Fat Fran at least the Mayor thinks so.

Actually we don't have to do anything. We vote, so therefore we can gripe. I for one didn't vote for her and never will. She is up next for re-election and she will be replaced. I have met a few that still like her, mostly desperate men, but anyone with any sense won't waste the vote on her again. She thinks she is "above" everyone else and that she is some sort of Queen with special powers. We don't need those kind of people in any office.
Thank goodness this was the last time Randy could run. He has to sit the next one out, well for sheriff anyway. I would vote for him for pooper scooper, but that's about it.

I like your way of thinking and I to will cast my vote for a rabid dog before voting for her. We have been denied the right to vote on issues that county's surrounding us have had the opportunity to vote on. Why were we denied that voting right? Because Pete and Fran would not allow it. You can bet your bottom dollar I will help her when the time comes. Queeny right out the door. Pete was a better man then Fran and he was booted out of the CCC.
