WOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!

BACK TO SCHOOL!!

The first day of school is always met with mixed emotions. First it was dropping those babies off for the first time & leaving them in the hands of virtual strangers. Then it was putting them on the bus for the first time. Then it was ... always something. This year, I have a high schooler for the first time. A high schooler & a 7th grader. Good grief. Where has the time gone?

Best of luck to all the kids for a great year! Even better luck to all the teachers -

WE'RE WATCHING YOU.
BAHAHAHAHAHA LOL

I heard the school lunches are getting more expensive this year & they're cutting "more expensive items from the menu."

What exactly are the "more expensive" items?

wonder who's counting the money. does it go through the BOE or is that another private non-profit organization that is accountable to no one. nice org. to rake off a little graft. salesman told me one time the teachers bought hay through the school lunch program to feed their cattle with. would be a good place for pinkerton to start or should it be on the school boards control of the election. like to see some of these big goatees eating that CRJ food. whoo wooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

So, how was everyone's first day of school?

ROSE said...

Evidently, high school is the place to be & 7th grade "doesn't suck as much as 6th."

First day was a huge success for the Cantrell boys!! One down, 179 to go!

Anonymous said...

Unless one gets held back! ha ha

ROSE said...

You stop talking that way!! We're taking 1 stinkin' day at a time!! LOL

Have y'all seen our weather forecast? I watched a show last night on the Discovery Channel that tried to prove Noah existed & a tsunami caused the flood. There might be another on the way!

Anonymous said...

I wonder if that ark is still being built on Route 68.

ROSE said...

As a matter of fact, I believe it is. It's a good thing Noah didn't take that long to build his.

Anybody watch Governor JoeJoe give his speech last night??

Anonymous said...

missed him. have anything important to say?

Anonymous said...

I saw part of it. From the look of the side seats and the ambient sound of the arena, it didnt seem to be very well attended at the time.
The report showed a group of about 10 people clapping for him with empty seats all around.
Must have been happy hour in the lounge.
Of course, its always happy hour in politics.

Anonymous said...

Your talkin one stinkin day at a time, must still be using Clay Roane psd water?

Anonymous said...

seen on the news that the gov. loses 20 billion a year because CEOs are given nontaxable stock options. you reckon 20 billion would satisfy our local money absorbing politicians.

Clay co animals goats ands shoats. almost forgot the donkeys.

Anonymous said...

have you read the Clay current news. primary care owes the state money for taxes. what kind of taxes? just recently it was published that some group had given primary care a high rating for good job done. duh whuts going on.

ROSE said...

How long does it take for the state to place a lien on your property for nonpayment of taxes? Is this a current debt or a long-standing one?

I totally missed Gov JoeJoe at the convention. I did watch Hillary give it all to Obama, though. Even those of us who don't care 2 hoots for her had to feel bad. I bet she went home & punched a wall. Or threw a lamp. Or something.

Anonymous said...

Shes just the first.
IF Obammy win, goodbye Whitey.
We all goan be hip-hoppin to da noo beet.
Han' me down my baggy pants and tap dancin shooz.

Anonymous said...

Is the new VF college gonna have any jungle drummin or spear chukkin classes?

Anonymous said...

And there you have a couple of fine examples of what is wrong with our country today. "Whitey" ain't da man no more. Good for America, bad for Whitey.

Anonymous said...

been readin' bout bigfoot lately. seems accordin' to the BFRO expeditioners and researchers that BF does some drummin' an wood knocking an rock clackin'. BF is a comin' up in de worl. bigfoot gots babies an trow snowballs an uses golf balls as trail markers an uses sticks for territorial markers [maybe] look around u might c one.

There was a huge explosion last night at the Bayer CropScience plant in Institute. Western Kanawha Co was under a shelter-in-place.

I'm wondering how they do the notification for something like that. If it'd been a wider shelter-in-place, how do they let the general public know about it? Especially when it happens late at night, after a lot of people have turned off the TV & gone to bed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRESIDENT MCCAIN

Anonymous said...

Not 4 more years, 4 more months!

ROSE said...

I'm sure you didn't mean to forget to include Michael Jackson in those birthday wishes. He turns the big 5-0 today. He says he can still moonwalk. I'd much prefer seeing that than 50-year-old Madonna's antics ...

Anonymous said...

wonder how many years it's been since Hillary turned 50?

Anonymous said...

Rose,
They have a siren system that sounds when there is an emergency. It can be heard on the last Wednesday of each month as a test. Additionally, they have a rather sophisticated phone “call down” system that will call every home or cell phone in the effected area. That is what you can have when you have a reasonable tax base and decent management.

ROSE said...

According to some of the comments on WSAZ's website, that "sophisticated call down" didn't take place until several hours after the shelter-in-place was mandated. I guess sophisticated doesn't necessarily mean timely.

Thanks for the info!

ROSE said...

CAYMOMMA?? Y'all all battened down & stocked up??

THAR SHE BLOWS!!

Anonymous said...

I haven't herd, is Monica back?

Anonymous said...

was gonna volunteer for oval desk duty had hillary gotten elected. still got brown paper pokes from my younger days. they are big enough for Hillarys head. ugh what a revolting thought.

was discussing an unusual item with the WVuniversity rep. today. a question that came up. are all birds eyes fixed in their sockets or is it only the owls? or the raptors? anyone know. some books say all others only the owls. anyone know for sure. how about these killer clubs anyone there know?

Anonymous said...

wonder where mayor brown found the stolen cash?

Anonymous said...

And what are the odds that anyone can retrieve stolen cash without it being on someone. Did they just leave it lying in the middle of the road? Did they leave it on someone's doorstep? Somehow that story doesn't make sense since nobody has been arrested.

Anonymous said...

It makes perfect sense if the offenders parents are holding something over on the local law. Notice no one was arrested in the Joey Crow beating, leading to death, and most folks know who did the beating. Well, the little lambs are back.

Anonymous said...

you mean this was just a petty "cash" deal?

Anonymous said...

Rose must be headed out with the dog, the boys and hubby for the GOP convention up north.

Anonymous said...

8:46am You pretty well got that right.

Anonymous said...

don't know when the boys returned home but been seeing mama and papas car at the old homestead lately. havn't seen the young'uns though. seen mama and papa down town a time or two. maybe the boys picked up some pointers during their sojourn. couldn't have been insiders. MG is a cliquer along with RB. a planned maneuver to allay suspicions. thy're very good at that.
to be continued

ROSE said...

Once again, I've missed it all. How on earth do I miss EVERYTHING that happens around here?? Could be because it's not covered by the same channel that covers the hurricanes & conventions.

Poor Hillary. Usurped by another woman who's younger & prettier. Does McCain think we're really that shallow? Why, yes, I think he does!

Meanwhile, New Orleans is evacuating. Again. What amazes me about this is the number of people being interviewed who are relaying their Katrina experiences & comparing this evacuation with that one. Frankly, if I'd been involved in that fiasco, I darn sure wouldn't be around to talk about it a second time!

Anonymous said...

Their running poppas old 3/4 ton pick-up, scoutin the teritory. Camp just north of Wards bottom got hit about a month ago.You will hear a lot of these young lambs. Lock your doors, buy a camera and recorder and if aloud, keep one loaded and willing to use it.

Anonymous said...

i'm aware of one camp in that vicinity. if them, they might have had an inside associate, this fellow, i learned recently, is hiding, apparently with relatives around Hartland, was seen at Hartland superette recently.

Anonymous said...

Your anonymous so why don't you just give names?

Anonymous said...

Just who in the devil are you talking about?

Anonymous said...

Rose won't let us use names. i see a 3/4 truck go by now and then. not sure, dark green i think. double pipes higher than the cab, loud. havn't seen it parked anywhere. frequents Ivydale vicinity.

Anonymous said...

Somebody name some names or give a make and model of vehicle or something so ill know who and what to look out for.
Whats with all the code and spy talk?

Anonymous said...

the hint was given in talking about the petty "cash" crime.
if no names are used we cannot be sued for slander or libel even if we are identified later.

Anonymous said...

A penny in hand will cost you a buck in the bush.

Anonymous said...

you hit right, a penny cash. and i have been known as buck, not recently though.

seen the hatchet man in town friday, seems to be trying to keep his flock in line. wonder if he testified against Vicki.

wonder why the FBI never questioned him about the Randy boom-boom. understand he was out at the dump the day the telephone call was made to get the sheriff out there. could it have been he who planted the bomb?
never know who's doing what. it seems the hatchet man is in with RB and TB. if so he didn't have anything to do with the "CASH" robbery. hmmmmmm two bunches of dishonest people.

ROSE said...

y Maybe this will make things easier ...

You can use initials. You can use first names. You can use cutesy little nicknames.

Honestly, if anybody says anything here that prompts somebody to subpeona my computer to track down the identity of an anonymous poster, more power to 'em.

Besides, I just got a new computer & this one's out the door anyway. BAHAHAHAHAHA LOL

Anonymous said...

Icould name namesbut it's so much fun trying to idenbtify who's being talked about.

to make a long story short. i think what was said is. the cash boys were recently released from jail. they did it. some one in the family has something on the upper class. they new where the money went but are not pressing charges for fear it will be disclosed what the big wheels have done.
the Ivydale situation is not clear to me yet. the clue that the cash boys may be involved is new. as for me i like to add and multiply.

Anonymous said...

Just one more example why Caymonna won AZZ of the year award!

Anonymous said...

not much to talk about this morn. wonder how caymomma survived the storm. all in one piece i hope.

Anonymous said...

Report ranks W.VA.no.2 in kids with chronic illness, ranks has-bin chess players no.3 in chronic mental illness. But there's hope with Obamas health care plan, for now they say they can even fix stupid!

Anonymous said...

and now for the news. so there's hope for me yet. i'm not a child but i might qualify for the other two.
that's it folks i'm sorry there nothing worth telling in WV.

ROSE said...

The Cayman Connection survived the storm. Beer on the island is low, the water got hight, but all is well.

What state is ranked #1 in chronic illness in kids? I'd venture to guess it's another chronically poor state, where obesity is high, food stamps rule & parents can medicate their kids via their medical cards. Do we really have chronically ill children or do we have over-medicating parents?

Mental illness is relative, isn't it?

Anonymous said...

Our neighbors to the west, Kentucky get the grand prize for chronically ill kids. Too many lazy parents and too many stop gap measures for this state to have healthy kids.

Anonymous said...

i know a woman and her son who drove all the way to tennessee to watch car races. talk about being mentally ill. there's a woman up in Brooke co., WV who has a butterfly ranch. had a show at snowshoe mt. this month. now i'd drive up there to see her iffn sh'd invite me. I LOVE BUTTERFLIES AND MOTHS AND WORMS AND FLOWERS and bigfoot.

Does anybody here know Eddie Cadle and what became of him after high school?

ROSE said...

LOL Eddie Cadle! I remember him! Probably much more fondly than he remembers me. Did you check ClassMates or one of the millions of sites like that??

Speaking of sites ... do y'all know about "www.ratemycop.com"?? I think that's what it is. "The public has a right to know!!" BAHAHAHAHA

Anonymous said...

Heres a good one,Rose :www.school teacher news.com: click on the scandal page.

ROSE said...

LOL "Teacher deals cocaine to student ..." I didn't read the article, but two things are obvious: 1)that kid's parents couldn't afford Ritalin & 2) if teachers made more money, they wouldn't be forced to sell drugs.

GOOD GRIEF!!

Anonymous said...

AccuWeather: temps to drop in the low 70's by the middle of the month, time to break out them flannel thongs.

Anonymous said...

the teachers get plenty as it is. every one gets 5/10 times as much as I get. if they can't make it on that , then we need teachers that can manage.
