Hi everyone, i'm no 1 for a change. not much to say today. a billion dollars. there goes my buttered popcorn, my snack crackers, maybe if i stock up on corn cobs and raise the price i can make enough to stay alive.
Oh yeah, forgot my 10 oz bags of tater chips that cost 4 dollars. but maybe if i go back to Ramens soups i can hang on. got my freezer full though. had it full for 20 yrs. knowed this was coming. learned all kinda greens to eat. mushroons too. and mulla grubs and moth larvae. and japanese bettle grubs. a complaint about the bus service to Ivydale/Nebo area. due to the sudden increase in the price of gas, the thought occured to me to use the bus. found a schedule of one day a week to ivydale/nebo area. no time schedule. my observation, bus passes through ivydale about 9 AM ON WED. MORN. RETURNS ABOUT 12/1 pm. after i get my groceries at foodland this leaves me standing outside foodland about 4 hrs. seems to me the schedule could be improved to bettr serve us old people who must save where possible. and i'm sure other people have problems. but an org. whos main focus is higher wages, bigger bonuses and longer vacations and more fringe benefits doesn't worry about the people they are supposed to serve, only about themselves.

I can remember when the library was on the verge of shutting down for lack of funds or any interest from the public or the county commission. TheCCC. Ronnie Haynes, Clinton Nichols, and RT sizemore.
Then a letter published in a previous paper fired some of the women up who then formed THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY org. and raised enough money to keep it open. it has been improving since then. They and VICKI got state funding and raised money from other sources and the computers were acquired. Now it had begun paying enough salary till the goaties clan thinks its worth their while to take it over and so it goes. if its a good job the goaties think it should be theirs and will do anything to get and control it. And LS strikes again. He wrote the letter that got things stirred up. and here he is again.

Vicki was a great person. She would do anything for you. Until Dusty had his accident,then her ex selling drugs and getting Dusty involved in the business so to say
and then just when she was doing better she hooked up with that internet freak. He would sell drugs right in front of the library. Every one knew it and she turned a blind eye.(and I believe she truly did not want to know) She has had it rough and I have to say she always treated me kindly, but that guy has been bad news. Her friends told her, people saw the signs. Didn't the blogs have postings and she replied, sounding like a person mentally broken from the stress of being an enabler.
Her mom even knew he would be trouble and would not allow him in their home. He moved her into a place where she was watched and why? Randy waited for him to make a mistake. Caught, he even ratted out on couple of guys and even tried to set up a few people, hell even beat the Hanshaw boy for not paying his drug bill,then being such a smart, upstanding idiot, he failed his drug test. Sad but this is just another side of how drugs ruin people's lives. I miss the old Vicki, she was fun, happy, had friends and would smile. Shame on you Joe for ruining Vicki. She served the library many good years however, its how she served it the last three that have come into question. I will always remember all the unselfish things she did for me and my kids over the years. Love makes you do stupid implusive things. But truth be told, Vicki did make that place friendly, fun, educational, neat. Once that Lurch character came a long, she was not the same.

The Clendenin library isn't exactly "on the way" to work. Yeah, it's close, but I pass right smack dab in front of the Clay library - twice; coming & going - every time I pick my kid up at the middle school. But yeah, I'll go 2 miles out of my way to go to Clendenin before I'll bother to look for a parking spot in Clay. Doesn't make me a bad person.

I think a law should be passed in this country that all elected officials that vote contrary to the people, should be removed from office. Especially our Electoral college as it is called.
