OK, y'all take it from there ...

Many years ago, at the beach, I took pictures of a really huge lady in a really tiny bikini. I also took pictures of her little, tiny fella in his big, huge swim trunks. They were a lovely couple.

Several years before that, I took pictures at Busch Gardens of a bizarro Goth freak, just because I'd never seen such a sight. Especially in public.

Now my camera is dead. I think it's karma.

Thunderstorms & damaging winds are in our forecast! Batten down the hatches!

Anonymous said...

OH GREAT! High winds. Living up here near God, which under normal circumstances is a great thing, but with high winds it's a bit trying on my nerves and on my lawn furniture & wind chimes!!

Anonymous said...

Maybe that couple that you took pictures of should have traded outfits?

I hate rain and wind and the mud it brings but it sure beats all that snow and ice we have been having. I want SUMMER back to stay and yaaaaaaaaaahooooooooooooo for global warming I can take the heat just fine.

now that's service. called the Clay dept. of hwys. at 10:30 AM at 2;45 pm they picked up my rock. MAYBE THEY OVERDONE IT A LITTLE. THEY HAD 4 trucks and 10 men and only one rock.

Anonymous said...

What did you expect? It takes one truck, one loader and the rest to hold flags, keep coffee poured and two supervisors to make sure they pour it right. This blog rules the county workers along with AW's gossip column. Just have to keep them on their toes at all times.

ROSE said...

This blog rules the county?? LOL Shouldn't I be getting some kickbacks or royalties or recognition from the Governor or social acceptability or something?

Anonymous said...

hey Rose you got recognition you little tater bug.

Anonymous said...

Misc: In my wanderings on the computer I have learned that black locust, buckwhear, raspberry and chestnut are all good honey producers. In reference to mt. top removal replantings.

I guess recognition as a tater bug is better than no recognition at all. LOL

The storm that dropped tornadoes in Oklahoma is headed our way - get that crap outta the yard!

'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.' 1802

"WHAT WERE THEY THINKING ..."

The situation the United States is facing today. 107 years later

Ms Rose you would be surprised how much this blog is read and how much it shames the ones in charge because they have not done their jobs. Then and only then do they get off their dead A**es and onto their dying feet and do what they are paid to do.

Wow. Really?? I can believe this blog is far-reaching, but having influence? That's kinda sad, ain't it? Especially considering this blog has only been in existence for a little over 3 years.

Hope y'all got out & enjoyed this day. It's been BEE-YOU-TEE-FUL so far!!

Sure am glad the wind has slowed up some here as the power went off and on a few times. Rain was coming down in sheets and looked like a river going by my house on top the mountain. Sounded like two trains going by for a hour or more the wind was blowing so hard.Just wonder how many trees will have to be cut from the roadway when daylight gets here. Junk blowing all over the place and if its not tied down it will belong to some neighbor in the morning.

Good time for all the people below Sutton Dam to throw there garbage in the river so it can hang up at the end of town in Clay under the new bridge. Seems as though thats what they do anyway when the water is high. Always looks like a floating Trash Dump coming down Elk River.

ROSE said...

We've been running on generator power up here on the mountain since about 7:30 or so. I guess I'm not the only one who goes online with generator power - AEP has a place on their website specifically for reporting outages. That'd be a whole lot more ironic if it wasn't applying to me ... LOL

2 hour delay tomorrow for Clay County schools. How bad is it out there??

I've heard of trees down in Bickmore, wrecks in Bickmore & trees down up here around Camp Creek. That's as far as my world revolves ....

Still no power here on the mountain. Estimated restoration time is noon, FEBRUARY 14. EGADS!! Of course, that's better than the original estimate of midnight on the 14th, but still. My battery ain't gonna last that long!! LOL

Wasn't really sure we were gonna wake up in the same spot where we went to sleep. The holler waaaay down yonder was looking like a distinct possibility. Still is. That's some wicked wind!!

Anonymous said...

Thats all I need is more freakin trees to cut up and not to sure about going out there to do,it don't look safe with the wind still blowing junk around.

The sky was blue,
The moon was high.
We were alone,
Just her and I.

Her hair was brown,
Her eyes were blue.
I knew just what,
She wanted me to do.

So with all my courage,
I did my best,
I placed my hand
upon her breast.
I trembled, I shook
and felt her heart.
Slowly she spread
Her legs apart.

I knew she was ready.
But I didn't know how!
This was my first experience
at milking a cow!

Talk is cheap...except when Congress does it.
If you think health care is expensive now, wait until you see what it costs when it's free!

Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.

Anonymous said...

We had alot of dmg in the town of clay last night. Workers got the trees removed from our yard and the house next to us had all its windows blown out, was a real crazy mess!

Anonymous said...

didn't have no storm here. power flickered few times. guess he throws rocks at me but you'll catch thewrath. wonder what that all means.

ROSE said...

Life is good again! I'm sure the power company & the phone company both give themselves a nice cushion when they give those estimates. I mean, really, isn't it more impressive when they say you'll be restored on Saturday & then they get your lights back on by Thursday? I don't care how many CYA cushions it takes to make their bottom lines look good - I've got electricity, I've got phone service & holy moley, I've even got water!!

This morning, I was ready to move back to The Big City. This evening, there's nothing quite as grand as Country Livin ...

Anonymous said...

pwr. lights blinking again about 1;30 am. NO WIND no rain no rocks, no s**t, back to the outhouse.

see that Bank of Gassaway will be giving home equity loans 1st of March. Can I apply for a mortgage now, that I can't pay, then apply for bailout money to make my payments?

Anonymous said...

Clayberry::: The lights are on, nobodys home.

ROSE said...

Seems I spoke too soon ... after a few hours of having all the amenities, the phone died yet again. Seems we have a "major cable failure" in our area. Estimated restoration time - 9 p.m. Friday, the 13th. Considering Verizon doesn't offer wireless internet in my area & they've lost the majority of their phone customers to cell phones, you'd think they'd cater a bit more to us dial-uppers who still have landlines.

Anonymous said...

looks like we might have a couple of Clay co. citizens in SCRJ THIS DAY.

Anonymous said...

Sherlock... do tell what you know.

ROSE said...

Yeah! Tell it if ya know it!

Have y'all heard about the Diane Sawyer special, "Children of the Mountains"? This is a serious GRRRRRRR show for me. For many reasons.

There's a 12-year-old girl interviewed whose mother was once hooked on pain killers. There are 12 people living in 1 house (the grandparents') & the little girls says that when they run out of food stamps, they run out of food. Then you see the mom, tattoos shining bright. Tattoos aren't free & they have zero resale value.

One of the "gimme a cause at any cost" issues people are being "outraged" about is the toothlessness of the residents of Appalachia. They're hootin' & hollerin' over the lack of health/dental care. Then you see the dad pouring Pepsi into his 2-year-old's sippy cup.

GRRRRRRRRRR. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Here's a helpful hint from Rose the Frugal. You can make a gallon of Kool-Aid for less than 25 cents, including mix, sugar & the over-priced water we have around here. A 12-pack of Pepsi is ... what? $5? Maybe 4 if you find it on sale. A 12-pack is a little over 2 gallons. So. Fifty cents (& you control the sugar) or $5? That $4.50 you'd save would pay for a nice hunka meat (& maybe even some seeds to start yourself a garden) to feed those kids.

GRRRRRRRRRR. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

I think this show was filmed in Kentucky. However, I live in Appalachia (incidentally, it's Appa-LATCH-a, not Appa-LAY-cha). We're not all toothless & unemployed & living 12 to a house on food stamps. It infuriates me when these shows come on & cause such a ruckus.

Can ya tell? >;P

Anonymous said...

But that is how those that get Food Stamps Eat and Drink Rose....They don't care because it is given to them. They don't want to budget them to go the entire month. Let the government keep giving to the "ones that aren't working" or "Don't want to work" I guess that is what the New President is going to do, It is his change to give more food stamps.

Anonymous said...

It is not your RIGHT to keep having kids the government supports. It is your RESPONSIBILITY to be able to feed the ones you have. Birth control is FREE. Then there would be a lot of money left over for more tattoos.

Anonymous said...

More Tattoos? If you get Foodstamps and Welfare they should require a tattoo on your forehead stating that. Maybe that would stop some of it. Tattoo such as, "Welfare Queen" on the forehead would certainly make me want to avoid getting on that list.

Yes I know some of the bleeding hearts think its necessary to keep these leaches alive but after five generations of them, its time to kick them off and learn them that thats what WORK is all about. Trade your foodstamps for Crack or Meth its good for the economy.

A government stong enough to give you everything for free is also strong enough to take every thing that you have. 1802

Anonymous said...

I agree to a certain point. you've lumped everyone into the same category that gets welfare and/or food stamps. there are people who, through no fault of their own, need help. that is what the welfare system and governmental help should be for. I know people here in Clay co. who are retired but who take up a hobby and the expect the gov. to guarantee rhem a profit. greedeeeeeeeeeeee

Your Good Buddy

ROSE said...

The whole thing is infuriating. I know people who, after busting their humps their entire lives, have been turned away for foodstamps because they're "not poor enough." EXCUSE ME??

There needs to be a priority list. If you've never paid taxes in your life, you go to the bottom. For those who have held down jobs & paid taxes & done the best they could, foodstamps & welfare should be a worst-case savings plan. Instead, it's a free ride to a lot of people who don't have sense enough to keep their legs together.

Let's say you get a job making $7/hr. That's a little over $1,000/mo, before taxes. Whittle out the taxes & whatnot & you're probably gonna bring home $800/month. Whittle out gas money to get to that job & you're down to $700/month (or so) to pay for groceries & utilities & everything else life demands. Now take your 3 (4, 5 whatever) kids to the welfare office & they'll be all over you. That $7/hr job makes no sense whatsoever.

Therein lies the problem in our country. Who wants to get up & go to work when it's so much easier to just let the check come to you each month?

There definitely needs to be more stringent guidelines on what constitutes "food." In fact, if I were in charge of the program, there wouldn't be foodstamps. There'd be a food bank & it'd be chockfull of vegetables. You don't need meat to survive. Vegetables don't lead to obesity.

I'll never begin to understand our system.

& oh! by the way ...

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

(Can you buy chocolate with foodstamps??)

Do you know why the rich keep getting richer? Because instead of sitting around b**ching about what the government isn't giving them, they're looking for MORE ways to make MORE money.

Being poor is not like being black or white. It can be changed. You don't change it by sitting around b**ching about it. If b**ching was dollars, we'd all be rich.

Since everyone is on the soapbox today, I want to put in my two cents worth. What gripes me is the people who work a week or two, just enough to get a paycheck or two then at the end of the year when they file their tax return, they qualify for earned income credit and get 5 thousand dollars for sitting at home. Money they didn't EARN at MY expense (MY taxpayer dollars).

There was a time in the USA when you had to work or you didn't eat. You worked for what you got and you appreciated what you had. Then along came a liberal Demorat and said it was "Inhumane" for people to work for what they got and should be able to sit on the porch and rock in their rocking chair. Needless to say he won West Virginia's vote for President of the United States. At that time the ones who worked to support their family's sat down and have been sitting ever since. They get Foodstamps, Welfare checks, energy assistance, medical cards,SSI checks, divorce their wives and still live in the same house so they can draw regular social security and wifey gets the SSI check because of divorce. All of this comes from one guy working at $7.50 an hour. By the way for his work he ends up with $2.00 per hour and the rest goes to the Governmental programs listed above for the leaches hatched out by John F. Kennedy.

What happened to Congress doing away with this nonsense in five years? Also what happened to the welfare to work programs? All of this has gone by way of breaking the Taxpayers back by taxing him or her to death.

Let's not leave out the Welfare to Work "success stories" - the ones who work at the welfare department. Well ... what's the reasoning behind ignoring Presidents Day but honoring MLK? Banks are closed, post offices are closed, government offices are closed ... heck, even some law firms are closed today. Yet I have to get my children up & send them off to school. It's not even like today was a scheduled holiday that got turned into a snow make-up day. Oh, wait. It's just another example of Clay County's independence from the rest of the world. Our schools are closed *next* Monday.

Put Sara on stand-by - the weather's supposed to turn bad again mid-week.

Anonymous said...

The difference between Prez day and MLK day is that MLK was a Communist who tried to burn the country down that the Prez's had built up. MLK and Jesse Jackson done everything they could to destroy the United States from within its boundaries. They were rewarded with an untouchable status because they were of the colored race. You're a racists if you speak out against such things now. Bring back the KKK.... they had status then also. We are to get some black snow this week and weekend so it may be time off and another snow day accumulated. Black snow out ranks white stuff.

Don't they teach that in health class?

When I was in junior high, we had first aid in health class. This was back in the days of slide shows. One of the segments was how to help drowning victims. Naturally, all the people in the slides had on bathing suits. Not the "what were they thinking?!" suits of today - we're talking 1970s style suits that were totally appropriate for junior high slide shows. The majority of the exposed skin had been colored in with black marker.

We didn't learn much about first aid that year. We were far too
fascinated with a teacher who had umpteen kids being that anal
retentive about allowing us to see a little shoulder, or God forbid, a bit of thigh.

Obama's signing the stimulus bill today. I read, I listen, I pay
attention, I use both sides of my brain ... I still don't get it. I
guess it's a good thing I'm not an accountant. (For those of you who

Every Man Woman and Child living in the USA now owes a National Debt of $36,000.00. Its a wonder they don't pass a law that we have to pay up in full.

Just like as all debt collectors will tell you, especially if they owe you. "The Checks in The Mail"

If you buy a new car this year under the NoBama plan you can claim the sales tax on your income tax. I would rather not pay the sales tax up front but thats against the law. In Wv you have to pay the tax each year for as long as you own the car. This applys also if you are buying a house, but only if you are a first time buyer. Now does that suck or what

Anonymous said...

just think though, if that money doesn't circulate, that is go through gov. hands , then the politicians can't steal any of it.

That $36,000.00 debt was before the signing of the new stimulous deal on tuesday. Its probabaly doubled now. Whats funny is this has been in the works since Bush tried to get congress to act in 2002 to stop this depression from happening. Congress bucked then and will go along with anything the new prez has to offer. The taxpayers will foot this bill for generations to come and no benefits will come our way. They stole half of the stimulous check Bush was to give us and they will steal all they can of this one also. GWB inherited the terrorists from Clinton who inherited them from George Sr. If either of them had done their jobs there wouldn't have been a 9/11. If there hadn't been a 9/11, Obama wouldn't be taking credit for bringing us out of a recession. Politics is expensive business.

Anonymous said...

It may be a recession where you live but where I am its a DEPRESSION and its the worst shape this country has been in since the 1930's.

Lets see about the war and what brought us to it. Early 1970's OPEC decided it could hold the entire world hostage and extort all the money + gold that every industrialized nation on earth had. Hostages were taken in Iran and held for months on end. Ships were attacked by Muslim extremists and our soldiers were killed and embassys were also attacked and burned, American citizens were beheaded and not one hand was turned and even when the world trade center was first attacked and bombed. Why was this allowed? We had Liberal Democrats at the Helm and we all know they are a spineless bunch that lay blame to anyone they can. Bush inherited a mess thats been happening since the spineless Jimmy Carter held office. What a worm.

I agree that if the first Bush would have finished what he started there would not have been 911 for the second one to take over, but the nay sayers and cry babies had to step in and stop the first war. Had the first Bush finished the job once again the USA would have been feared by its enemys. Our biggest ENEMY today reigns in Washington DC and is on the rampage under the heading United States Congress headed by the worst bleeding heart known in this country today. They sit and twiddle their thumbs and let Oil and Gas Companys rob us blind for the product we all have to have to do our daily biddings.

Just yesterday they admitted to holding up production of gasoline with American Oils because it was running $10.00 less on the barrel then OPEC oil, therefore $2.29 a gallon gas again. They have caused this depression and our Government has allowed them and are allowing them to destroy America from within its boundaries. Not one senator or congressman has figured out what is running this country aground because they are all blinded by the final straw "GREED".

Anonymous said...

If we didn't have to spend almost every dollar we make to buy gas just to get to work and back, there would be no housing crisis and no depression. Thanks to the 36 billion dollar per quarter the oil companies make, a lot more people will be homeless before the government figures out that it was the oil companies that started all this, not the housing industry.

Wonder what charges her Powerful Attorney wants to come up with? There's no law against making money off other peoples' idiocy. Lawyers do it all the time!

Anonymous said...

Speaking of Idiocy...Just think about it, living in one of the poorest counties in the state and we have two dummies, Mike Pierson, and Jerry Linkinogger voting for a huge decrease in tax dollars for the county. Why? Back door tactics to make trades for a new school lot? We do not need a new school of any kind unless its one to educate elected officials on how to improve the county.

I do believe the longer I live here the dummer the ones in charge are getting. Six million this year in reduction for Coal Companies means the little guys have to make it up. Eight million loss last year so it won't be long until the Coal Company will be getting paid by the CCC to own land here.

Anonymous said...

Well for someone who has worked for an attorney, Lynn Drake has no knowledge of the law. She, being a "public" figure, of her own chosing I might add, lost ALL rights to being a private citizen and therefore has NO grounds to sue AW or any other media. Once you make yourself a public figure, you are basically open game. And pound for pound, she is considered "big game". Wonder if she would be a trophey kill. Bet Jack would hang her on his wall. ROTFLMAO.....

ROSE said...

Maybe she should watch more Judge Judy.

One has to assume she thinks she has a slande/libel case. I wonder how many of those AWs had filed against him?

Here's a quickie - slander is the spoken defamation of character, libel is the written defamation of character (loosely speaking). Interjecting personal opinions (commonly known as Freedom of Speech in this country), is still a right granted to every U.S. citizen.

The sad truth is - Anon, you're absolutely right. Placing yourself in the public eye leaves you wide open to everybody who wants to hack on you. It keeps a lot of good people out of public service, but sucks in a lot of egomaniacs who need attention at any cost.

Anonymous said...

Lets just remember that this is Clay Co. and its where LD works for the attorney.

In Clayberry if you are a lawyer or a Judge or a cop or anyone else who is working for the judicial system the first thing you learn is this. There is no law set forth on the books that pertains to the case at hand so just make it up as you go along. Make it sound good enough and you can convince any jury that, that is the way it is under the law.

Clarification: In the case of Clay Co. Citizens for Fair Taxation vs. The Clay Co. Commission. Case was filed for an unconstitutional fee placed on the people in Clayberry. Ruled against in court by Danny O. Cline sitting judge. A few years later the county of Braxton tried the same thing on the people up there. Guess who filed a lawsuit and won the case, Judge Danny O. Cline filed it was unconstitutional to use such a fee and it was ruled unconstitutional by the courts. See right there goes to show you that Clayberry don't live under the laws of the state of West Virginia so therefore they can make it up as they go along. Lawyers, Judges, Cops, and all the rest including paralegal LD know this so they don't have to abide by any laws that covers the rest of the state and proof has been shown time after time. Yes if she sues ole AW in this county she will take him for a ride and as you know she is going to ride him into the ground real "QUIK".

Does anyone else get sick and tired of hearing Unit 2 with the police dept. saying that he is "on the other end of the county" when ANYTHING is dispatched to him.

I for one am sick of it. Why don't they just fire him and find someone that can be or respond where they are needed!

Anonymous said...

Plus, they could all try a little harder to not sound like they're p*ssed off at being bothered & they're bored out of their minds.

Anonymous said...

If you were cuckoling somebodys girlfriend or wife would you want to be bothered with some trival call. Just when you are getting things going they call everytime and it does make you mad to be interrupted at such a crucial time.

Anonymous said...

I don't know what the cops are doing or who they are doing it with. But they sure do NOT sound happy about any call they have to go on. I understand that repeat callers get annoying but not everyone makes a habit of calling for them on a weekly/daily basis like some in the county. So for those of us that actually need them for something REAL it would be nice to have them respond in a nice way.

Kudos to the sheriff for telling Unit 2 to go and take the report last week. (I think it was the wreck near spread park).

Weren't we just talking about the risks of putting yourself in public service? Law enforcement officers are no different - whether you're the sheriff, a trooper, a deputy or whatever. Every call - regardless of who it's from or what it's about - should be treated with respect. Especially considering we all have scanners. We hear you, ya know.

Speaking of troopers ... I was coming home today & 2 state troopers came barreling up the interstate. No lights, no sirens, no nuthin' to indicate they were anything but patrolling. Traffic was pretty steady at 75 mph or so. They blew by all of us like we were parked. Shame on you, PLATE NUMBERS 228 & 358. When you put fear into your fellow travellers with no indications that you might be driving like maniacs for a reason, *you* are responsible for the accident you cause. No uniform, weapon, training or badge puts you above the law.

Anonymous said...

10-4 County, I'm on the other end of the county. Get me that public service number and I'll give em a call.

Anonymous said...

Isn't it funny how you never hear the call that puts them on the other end of the county? The scanners must miss those.

Which end of the county is Subway on?

Anonymous said...

Ms Rose you just fall right in behind them and run with them when they do that. Its the only time I ever ran 85 without fear of getting a ticket. Drove all the way from Big Chimney to Wallback like that to.

Just in case you didn't read AW's site in the last few minutes or so the Idiot Twin Commissioners are doing just what was said before the election would be done.

I for one think David Pierson is a very strong supporter of the Clayberry community and will do anything to help out in an emergency situation or donate his equipment and operators to the county. I also know that coal companies have stolen every single piece of property with minerals that could be taken. How do they do this? They control the ecnonmy, the jobs and also our legislature, courts and lead the state police around by the nose. When they came in here they came to rape the land, the county and the state for tax benefits. Once again they have done that and the Idiot Twins have helped them.

I for one would like to see them both impeached and thrown right out of the courthouse. They have shown that their priority is helping Consol Amvest rob this county. What they give the coal companys will come out of our pockets because the people of Clayberry will have to come up with the shortage which means "BEND OVER" Taxpayers. Take a ride over to Bickmore and turn onto Fola road and take the first left paved road and follow it all the way to the end and you will see the view of a liftime and be sure to take your Cameras. The view will take your breath away or maybe even make you puke. If you haven't seen this scenic site you should take that drive with the family and see just what the Idiot Twins are supporting. You won't be disappointed at all for making it a family outting.

What two county commissioners? Andy never said which voted for what?

ROSE said...

Let's just say it like it is - Fran King's got the only pair of cojones the county commission can lay claim to.

Anonymous said...

The Idiot Twin commissioners are Jerry Sliminogger and Mike (the tax hike) Pierson. Fran voted no because her term is up in two years so she has to be the nay sayer now so she can brag about how good shes been the past two years of her term. Watch for future NO Votes from her. It was always YES until the last election when Pete was booted out.

For the first time OBAMA has awakened to the real world.

WASHINGTON – The Obama administration, siding with the Bush White House, contended Friday that detainees in Afghanistan have no constitutional rights.

In a two-sentence court filing, the Justice Department said it agreed that detainees at Bagram Airfield cannot use U.S. courts to challenge their detention. The filing shocked human rights attorneys.

"The hope we all had in President Obama to lead us on a different path has not turned out as we'd hoped," said Tina Monshipour Foster, a human rights attorney representing a detainee at the Bagram Airfield. "We all expected better."

Don't you just love it!!!!

ROSE said...

Maybe. Or maybe she voted no because it's the right thing to do. In the overall scheme of things, the yes votes in this case are far more concerning.

I don't know Pierson well enough to offer an opinion. Link, on the other hand ... he's not really known as a No Man.

ROSE said...

Sometimes, a comment slides in there that just makes the next one appear to be totally out of context. LOL

I don't mean to sound anything but compassionate, but a match & a gas can would go a long way toward dealing with all those detainee facilities.

Anonymous said...

seems simple to me. If you are not a US CITIZEN THEN YOU DO NOT HAVE US constitutional rights. Even US citizens don't have constitutional rights anymore. The only people who have rights are the goat sexers and their cronies.

Anonymous said...

Make sure the detainees are still in those faciities when u apply the gas and matches.

I guess Uncle Sam is treating them so well that they are expected to be released with a new "I love America" attitude.

I'll be that's what will happen.
Any takers?

I think the State Troopers read the blogs! Did anyone else hear them this morning? They were all chit chatty back and forth. Talking about Ted Nugent and having a good time.

I was impressed. Someone must have handed out the happy pills.

Anonymous said...

That's right LS.

And we have the right to laugh at you.

I see George had a new post. LOL not much going on there. On Fola word has it from George's blog the Jerry did this to get his son a job at fola. What you didn't hear is the Fola was already down 8 million from last year and first it was a 12 million mistake and low and behold it went to 6 million the high priced lawers and stuff sure do make some big mistakes. Also when Slinky went to Federal court and lied about how much that Fola made the county in tax dollars he said 60% but really it only around 15% that was to get his son a job but he failed the drug test. You can't keep pee in your sock and get caught getting it out.

I see every one is going to get a tax cut. I wonder why there is never a SOCIAL SECURITY tax cut. SS taxes are as high as income taxes but no reduction is ever mentioned, and yet the politicians will run to the vault, drop in another IOU and take the surplus THEN we have a big to do about SS running out of money every once in a while. hoooooo boy, smoke and mirrors.

Anonymous said...

Link and Pierson really Pooped in the courthouse wheaties. Just saw some firemen roping off the two buildings by the courthouse and putting up no parking signs. Think Slinky can slink his way out of this. If you can't run with the big dogs stay on the porch Slinky!!!!

Anonymous said...

Well after all Dave Pierson is one of the honchos for CVFD and they own the buildings and the land. Next time I talk to him I will suggest they take the ropes down and install the type of keep out signs that when a vehicle drives over them it slices the tires. Good way to get a bunch of Automobiles impounded and also to collect $35.00 a car for being there.

YOU GO David!!!! show them what it is to spit in the big dogs ice cream......

Another way to upset their little cart is to not pay your taxes each year until the last day in March. Interest on your money in your account will help you alot more then the help you will get by paying taxes early and the county collecting the interest.

For those of you who don't know Dave P. has some heavy partners. say like J. Reed and M. King who own the Foodland block among other things.

Anonymous said...

Then there's the big RTS, NEPHEW OF J. Reed, buddy buddy of Danny C. THE EX. the fellow who got the ruling against the amb. fee. Danny C. who often stayed at RTs and enjoyed his bootleg wine. contributing to his costs with donations and getting free wine. kinda like renting barstools and giving the beer away.

temperature going up soon. Easter lilys alresdy poking through the ground.

what's the difference in phishing and phlucking?
you phish for suckers and you phluckers ask RT about the chickens.

The coffee house crowd said Pierson was going to lease the two buildings beside the courthouse and put a nice smelly hog pen in there.

Isn't there some sort of city limit ordinance against having a pig pen inside city limits?

Given the state of our economy & the uncertainty it's causing, it'd be in everybody's best interest that he open a new business in Clay. One we don't have, that won't go bust. One that doesn't require a lot of employee training. Pay people for something they already know how to do.

ROSE said...

What's a million or so among friends? Once you're in the 8 digit range, the rounding doesn't make a whole lotta difference.

Somebody needs to check the air quality at the courthouse. There seems to be something there causing people to act like lunatics in public meetings.

The high school journalism class should read the Communicator in class so as to learn what NOT to do while reporting and writing.

The 8 million tax break was for last year or 2008 herded through by Frannie and Sliminogger, Pete voted no just like Fraanie did this year as his term was almost up. The 6 million was done a few days back by the Two Idiot Twins, and yes it does add up to 14 million in savings for Consol Amvest. The 12 million is what Consol Amvest asked for in order to make it look good. All this was discussed with the lawyers before it was brought out in public and the 6 million dollar figure agreed to.

Irregardless 8million, 6 million, 12 million or 14 million, the point of it all is that Clay County Taxpayers got the shaft broke off in them by the Clay County Commissioners again. Abstaining from a vote is a YES vote for the issue at hand. A 3% increase in taxes are automatic in Clay Co. and slide through every year plus what the state says your property value increase is. Just bend over and grab your cheeks and spread em wide. Not the cheeks on your face either. Just remember the West Virginia Teachers Association knows two things, raise taxes and give us a bigger raise.

ROSE said...

Ok, we're changing the subject now. Too much scrolling ...

Sorry for double posting on different blogs.

I would like to set one record straight, I was at the coal hearing when Pete first year on the job. For a new guy he asked a lot of questions some were not very revelant but he asked and Jimmy made the statement afterwards that that was the first year they didn't take the tax dept word and voted against giving the coal company a break and during his turn did it every year. So yes Pete voted against cutting the coal from year one not just the last year. I didn't support this time and I'm sorry for that now.
