The first snow of the season is always so pretty! I've put in an order for a nice white Christmas & then no more snow until next season. I'm pretty sure it's not going to happen.

Well Ms Rose seeing as how this is my second snow this year I am not liking it any to well. Yep its white and white means cold and also causes MUD. I had an inch or more of the stuff last week and it went off after 11 A.M. that day and I was hoping that was the end of winter since we didn't have any summer around here. I have a little over four inches on the ground now and its COLD and WET.
Nice to look at but hopefully a heat wave will follow it in here and melt it off before it gets dark today. Lots of wrecks on the roads today according to scanner traffic. It hasn't stopped in Nicholas county since it got daylight with calls coming in every few minutes. Icy bridges and ice in curves are tearing them up over around Summersville and Richwood areas. Glad I live in Florida and not around Alaska today.
see that a couple from Clay co. went to CRJ today.
they had an armed robbery in Calhoun yesterday. couple broke in mobile home at 2AM in the morning. suspects probaly driving GMC pickup. beat up residents.

Are you that dense? Not knowing where Grant Money comes from? Do you think they just wave the magic wand and it appears. BS, any idiot with any knowledge at all knows that the American Taxpayer Funds this crappy system and the three blind mice want you to think thats how grant money is. Wave the Wand. Tear the freaking dump out and bury it in a landfill somewhere and give the money back why waste it on the termite invested dumps as they are going to fall down anyway, HOPEFULLY before the money is wasted.
Wonder how may know of the high dollar issue of asbestos removed legally, from the building by the courthouse?

When I called this morning, they said the "new estimated restoration time" is 6 p.m. But the recording you get when you first call says "All customers are expected to be restored by 11:45 December 13th."
All jobs should have such flexible deadlines.

Did y'all get the automated call from Nicholas Emergency Services? 'bout scared the pee-willies out of me! My husband wasn't home, my baby wasn't home ... all I saw on the Caller ID was "Emergency" & totally panicked. LOL When I said, "Hello?" all I got was the recording. I still didn't know what was going on. My second "HELLO???" got another "This is the Nicholas Emergency Response System" (or whatever he said). I FINALLY realized it was test of some sort, but have no idea why I was a testee.
We got two of those phone calls. I wonder why they are calling Clay County homes?
Coulda been a testinical error.
I'm assuming it's got a lot to do with the fact that we have a regional 911 system based in Nicholas Co., but you'd think they'd have made their test message a bit more ... user-friendly. I don't know how long the actual recording was, but it was over 1/2 over before I realized there wasn't a real emergency.
I hope, if they ever call during an actual emergency, the message is a bit more concise & to the point.
I also got two messages on the answering machine and also another call that came in last night. The last one was super long and continued the jargon of testing fire, police and ambulance and all EMS in Nicholas county.
I wonder how many ole ladies had heart attacks over that?
George Bush, Queen Elizabeth, and Vladimir Putin all die and go to hell. While there, they spy a red phone and ask what the phone is for. The devil tells them it is for calling back to Earth. Putin asks to call Russia and talks for 5 minutes. When he was finished the devil informs him that the cost is a million dollars, so Putin writes him a check.

When he got to his parent's bedroom, he looked through the keyhole to check if his parents were asleep. Through the keyhole he saw his mom loudly snoring, but his dad wasn't there. So he went to the maid's room. When he looked through the maid's room keyhole, he saw his dad having s*x with his maid. Little Johnny was surprised, but then he just realized something and thinks aloud, ''OH!! Now I understand the government!
