Of the last 57 comments, Rose has only showed up with one time.
All the crazy people are still here, we lack a leader.
On a brighter note, 6 more days till our first snow for ClayBerry.

LOL Rose has been lurking - I'm trying to learn to hush my piehole sometimes. Frankly, I think I've set myself up for Epic Failure. >;)

So ... the next CCC meeting is being held on a pagan holiday? Hmmmmmm.

The CCC can be hung then just as well as any other holiday except for MLK day and then we would be called racists. See ya at the meeting Ms Rose?

It was a pagan holiday in the past. The Catholics made it a day of Holy obligation (you are supposed to go to Mass.) It's called All Souls Day.

Tomorrow, November 1st, is 'All Saint's Day.' Over time, the night before this Christian acknowledgement of all things 'hallowed' became known as 'The Eve of All Hallows'. So why do we associate Halloween with spooks and specters? Probably because for countless centuries, people have lit the fires of Samhain around this point in the year. The ancient 'pagan' festival of Samhain celebrates the spirits of the ancestors. It would not have always been held on October 31st. It would have followed the Full Moon. But as the Full Moon has only just passed, tonight may still prove pretty spooky!

Where is this shelter opened by the Clerks office located? Information about this is on Andy's news page.

Polls say most of the flippin congress will be voted back in for another term. Now if Bohnner was to drown in a boat accident on Lake Eire, this country might get something done the next 4 years.

I think Bohnner has been hogtied by the present administration. He started out pretty good.

I spoke with representatives of the Red Cross this morning - if you sustained any damage - ANY DAMAGE - during this week's storm (or if you know of anybody who has), please email me at barefootwonder@aol.com or call 304-548-7014 ASAP. They're assessing damage in Clay, Braxton & Webster counties so that FEMA can see how extensive our damage is. "Damage" includes downed power lines, trees on vehicles/dwellings, etc. Even if your damage isn't "extensive," ALL damage needs to be reported!!

Also, if there's anything you - or anybody you know - need, please let me know. The Red Cross has resources ready & available for distribution. Sadly, Clay County lacks the leadership to get those resources where they're needed most. If I can't help, I can at least try to find someone who can. Please spread the word.

Also, if you know of areas still without power, please let me know that, too - part of the problem in June was that once an area was restored, the assumption was made that ALL residents of that area were restored. WRONG!!
