FRANKENSTORM ?

I spoke with representatives of the Red Cross this morning - if you sustained any damage - ANY DAMAGE - during this week's storm (or if you know of anybody who has), please email me at barefootwonder@aol.com or call 304-548-7014 ASAP. They're assessing damage in Clay, Braxton & Webster counties so that FEMA can see how extensive our damage is. "Damage" includes downed power lines, trees on vehicles/dwellings, etc. Even if your damage isn't "extensive," ALL damage needs to be reported!!
Also, if there's anything you - or anybody you know - need, please let me know. The Red Cross has resources ready & available for distribution & there are people who can offer much needed assistance. Sadly, Clay County lacks the leadership to get those resources where they're needed most. If I can't help, I can at least try to find someone who can. Please spread the word.
I hope you all fared as well as I did.

Also, if you know of areas still without power, please let me know that, too - part of the problem in June was that once an area was restored, the assumption was made that ALL residents of that area were restored. WRONG!!

What's wrong with my ol buddy, you down in the blues cause of the election?

What? Surely you're not inferring that Willie isn't the frontrunner??

Best of the morning to all you little rays of sunshine. Rose, you still living in the dark?

Well as you probably have noticed Frontier received their FEMA check today and now the internet and Clay County are no longer cut off from the world after a week in the dark, no phones or internet to the outside world. I heard that some people over around Sycamore Ck at Indore also got electricity back for the first time since the storm in June on Sunday. Amazing what a FEMA check can do for the utility companies while the people do without.

Some people are never happy with what they got. Beach Beach Beach!

Is everyone happy this morning? We got some warm weather coming for the weekend anyways.

What's going on, everyone got the blues today?

Anonymous said...

Yeah we got the black & blues.

We got the black in the white house and four more years of singing the blues is a given

Sounds like a good start to a country western song.

A guy traveling through Mexico on vacation lost his wallet and all of his identification. Cutting his trip short, he attempted to make his way home but was stopped by the U.S. Customs Agent at the border .

"May I see your identification, please?" asked the agent.
"I'm sorry, but I lost my wallet," replied the guy.
"Sure buddy, I hear that every day. No ID, no entry," said the agent.

"But I can prove I'm an American!" he exclaimed. "I have a picture of Ronald Reagan tattooed on one side of my butt and George Bush on the other." "This I gotta see," replied the agent. With that, the guy dropped his pants and showed the agent his behind.

"By golly, you're right!" exclaimed the agent. "Have a safe trip back to Chicago ." "Thanks!" he said. "But how did you know I was from Chicago ?"

The agent replied, "I recognized Obama in the middle."

I posted a note yesterday about Andy and his spelling, typo's etc and it was deleted. Looks like Rose and Andy are in cahoots clickers.

When Andy got saved, it left a big impression on alot of people, including Rose, more than likely.

That feller at the border got saved too. What did Andy get saved from?

Anonymous said...

Saved from the down fall of his heathern ways, he's a changed man.

I wouldn't be surprised if he found the Lord so he could sell more papers. God bless the little used to be heathen.

Amen!

Is that why AW is still spewing his hate and discontent through that rag he sells? Or on his Clayberry site. I see no change there either.

Wait till he runs for county commission, you will be bowing to his knees, please drop my taxes, please please please.

Well, hello, all you little rays of sunshine! FYI - I haven't deleted a comment here since about 2006, when some snarky hateful people thought it'd be funny to involve someone's kids in their online bickering.

Cantrell Mountain was only without power 4 days this time. Some of my neighbors were without for well over a week.

Did anyone see any of our elected leaders out & about, trying to help anyone? We COULD HAVE SEEN the National Guard, going door-to-door, doing wellness checks & delivering necessities (MREs & water) BUT ... "we don't need any help - Clay County takes care of its own."

Sounds like a typo means 4 more years of non-growth and confusion.

We haven't seen anyone but the telephone repair man after a week of no phone. I guess they can't see us from there.

Na Na Na Mrs Rose. I do remember when you deleted a whole thread around Christmas time, cause some wild man on the northern end of the county was using really bad potty mouth. May he rest in peace, hi ho silver and away.
