"Bikinis aren't for everyone". Neither are shorts or slacks... But that doesn't seem to stop em.

Size matters.

A lot.

Just because its black dont mean it makes you look slim.

Anonymous said...

Happy Birthday Young Lady Rose! Hey I bet you'd look good in a bikini. Silly Goose

Anonymous said...

I like them with the gut that hangs to the knees in a bikini. Hides all the material to.

Anonymous said...

Truer words were never spoken,“Bikinis are certainly not for everyone”.

I have seen some sites on the beach. Some of those bikini clad women had a lot of nerve wearing something like that itsy, bitsy, teeny weeny, hardly anything there bikini.

I wouldn’t wear a bikini when I was 16 and a “Babe”….I certainly wouldn’t wear one now that I’m a little older (but still a “Babe”) ”Keep them guessing” is my motto.

"Happy Birthday Rose"! A little birdie told me you will be a year older tomorrow. Still looking good! But you would at your age.

Anonymous said...

I know [Bikinis] were not made for tubby little ROSE. She would look better in a barrel, with short fat little legs hanging down.

Anonymous said...

My word, does Rose look like that? Most gals are not a 10 but a barrel?

Anonymous said...

Anon 1:10,
I hope you were simply trying to be funny. Have you ever seen Rose? Good Lord, that woman has to run around in the shower to get wet!

ROSE said...

There's nothing quite as surreal as going on AWs site & seeing your name there, knowing good & well you haven't done anything newsworthy. LOL

TUBBY??! I thought I'd been called every name in the book, but that's a new one!! I guess I'd better cut back on the Reese's Cups for breakfast, huh? {oink oink}

Oh, silly goose, you won't catch ME in a bikini!! I'm at least 10 years past that kinda nerve!

Pixee, you make it sound like "looking good" at "my age" is a given - take a look at the WVRJA site & you'll see it's all in the maintenance. LOL

Anonymous said...

no one wants to see anorexic Rose in a bikini!

if we wanted to see bones, we could go to the local graveyard!

Anonymous said...

The criteria is; If you can see daylight between those thighs. it's a goodern.

Anonymous said...

Daylight is much better than that weird thigh burn fat people get.

Anonymous said...

Someone forgot to take their be nice pills today!

Happy Birthday Rose!

ROSE said...

WOOOOO HOOOOO!!

THANKS!!

I've asked for a barrel of pork rinds for my birthday - the rinds to put some meat on my bones & the barrel to wear to the beach.

I'll be *One Hot Mama* ...

LOL

LOL

Anonymous said...

RC, since you will be going to work in your birthday suit, what route are you taking?

Anonymous said...

it ain't daylight I want to see between thighs

I read the news posting on AW site and i wanna know is there really stories of this "go devils" or is it something to just scare us single moms that live back in the boonies Seriously? does anyone know about these stories?

Anonymous said...

Well i am the mother of the little boy who had his dog "stolen" from the Humane Association they said our dog chased their truck 8 tenths of a mile down the road which by the way he doesn't chase cars at all and they pick him up along with our neighbors dog also on their way to the vets office and have them both fixed they did that right after they picked him up so they didn't post anything saying they had them before they took them and done that and we are now in the process of sueing their ass off...they lied to us and admitted to lieing and had us going in circles for a week telling us they adopted him out when they shipped him off to PA

Talking about GO DEVIL'S, there for awhile we all had one on the CLAY ROANE PSD. Them creature's are lurking every where.

Anonymous said...

Why of course there are Go Devils out on Pisgah Ridge and Cove Hollow. Haven't you read the papers or Sheriffs reports on all the Meth Labs (GO DEVILS) being busted out there. You can see the Go Devils popping out on their faces and in their eyes after only a couple months of Go Devil (meth) using. Them big sores appear all over the face and your eyes get sunken back into your skull and of course you see Go Devils running all over the place. Now all you single moms don't be to afraid as Go Devils and Hillside Jaspers have been in Clay County for years you just have to be a little faint of mind and heart to dream them up unless you cook one up in your Meth Lab.

Anonymous said...

I think my third wife, God rest her soul was a GO DEVIL. She dam sure put me through HELL while she was alive.

ROSE said...

LOL There are very few pics of Rose in a bikini. If you can find one, please make $$ off of & at least cut me a percentage, ok?

WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

TODAY'S THE DAY!!!

Anonymous said...

Hmm i think my mother n law is one of them GO Devils....

Why do you call it "Go Devils" it sounds like a cheer for a football team???

Why dont them dog thiefs take the "go devils" instead of a sweet little boys pet. All that heartache cause someone was to lazy to stop and ask. Tisk Tisk!!

SmileyTD said...

Just wanted to stop in and say Happy Birthday to ya', Rose. (Better late than never, right?) Hope you had a good one. :)

Rose, I am putting this here to because you asked a question and I figure you will check your site first so here goes:

I had a talk with AW tonite at Pierson's sawmill. Here is what he told me about the Go Devil:

He said the Go Devil was not something he had made up. He stated that Noni Carte told him about the Go Devils as well as another Carte who is a neighbor of his. He also state that the woman that owned the resturant beside his office was on a camping trip with her husband the Go Devil came thru their camp ground. Johnny Woofter also said that he had heard that expression years ago.

Sounds to me with the screeching like a woman it could very be a PANTHER. I heard a panther screech like a woman a few years ago and talk about the hair standing up on your neck that will cause it. And a panther will not allow you to see it until it is ready to attack. Make your own decisions on this. A Go Devil sure sounds like a panther to me.

Anonymous said...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROSE

Anonymous said...

according to DNR we dont have panthers here in west virginia.

few years back my wife and i saw a very large dark colored cat right beside the road. it allowed us to drive up to it before it went running off into the woods. we thought it was a panther and still do till this day. it probably weighed 60 - 70 pounds or more and was a couple feet tall and 3 or 4 feet long. with a long tail. we saw it from just a few feet away and to me there was no mistake on what it was.

but a year later i read an article in a wv wildlife magazine featured by DNR and it said we had none in wv. it named off a few big cats that we do have and said that residents reporting panthers most likely are mistaking one of the other cats as one.

I am Hunter's grandmother, I don't think it had anything at all to with the fact that someone was being lazy, It was all the fact that she stole the dog and toated him off to the vet and neutered him. Hunter looked and whistled for days when homer was gone it was sad, Now that he has him back if homer gets away Hunter screams get my dog someone get my dog, He is so afraid that the DOG NAPPERS as he calls them are going to steal his dog again. So anyone that has a pet please be on the look out for the little fellas they love to pick them up and tote them off to get them neutered.

Sir Little Black Wise Old Owl Santa, I don't even know who I am anymore, let alone anybody else. LOL

Hmmm ... the dog situation. First off, the people responsible should be subjected to no less than 3 solid hours in Hunter's company - with strict instructions to Hunter to totally disregard any language and/or social skills he's learned.

Complaints need to be filed with everybody & his brother. Here are some excerpts from WV State Codes:

§7-10-4. Custody and care of animals abandoned, neglected or cruelly treated: hearing; bonds; liability for costs; liens; exclusions.

(b) The owner or persons in possession, if his or her identity and residence is known, of any animal seized pursuant to subsection (a) of this section shall be provided written notice of the seizure, his or her liability for the cost and care of the animal seized as provided in this section and the right to request a hearing before a magistrate in the county where the animal was seized. The magistrate court shall schedule any hearing requested within ten working days of the receipt of the request. The failure of an owner or person in possession to request a hearing within five working days of the seizure is prima facie evidence of the abandonment of the animal. At the hearing, if requested, the magistrate shall determine if probable cause exists to believe that the animal was abandoned, neglected or deprived of necessary
sustenance, shelter, medical care or reasonable protection from fatal freezing or heat exhaustion, or otherwise treated or used cruelly as set forth in this section.

§19-20-8. Impounding and disposition of dogs; costs and fees.

(a) All dogs seized and impounded as provided in this article, except dogs taken into custody under section two of this article, shall be kept housed and fed in the county dog pound for five days after notice of seizure and impounding has been given or posted as required by this article, at the expiration of which time all dogs which have not previously been redeemed by their owners as provided in this article, shall be sold or humanely destroyed. No dog sold as provided in this section may be discharged from the pound until the dog has been registered and provided with a valid registration tag.

Was any of that done??? I could be wrong, but isn't the county commission in charge of appointing the "humane society" of any county? Are they liable, too?

I'd hire the most hateful pit-bull lawyer I could find (sissies need not apply) & contact every local news station in the area before he had a chance to tell me to keep quiet. It's doubtful you'd win (unless you get a really, really good lawyer), but at a minimum, you could keep this from happening from anybody else.

ROSE said...

I'm assuming, of course, that the Humane Society's justfication for all this was that Homer was "abandoned, neglected or cruelly treated."

Honestly, maybe we should deputize these people. If they'd put the same idiotic BS tenacity into cleaning up crime as they do picking up well-fed, much-loved pets, we could get this county cleaned up in no time.

The Humane Society had no justfication for this Homer was absolutely not "abandoned, neglected or cruelly treated." He is very much loved. We were lied to from the beginning by these people, It all started on Thursday evening that they hadn't even picked up a Jack Russell Terrier!, And Escalated to us having to go to Pa. almost a 1000 mile round trip to get my Grandson's dog back. It is very very sad that they felt the need to lie to us from the beginning.

Dog Snatcher Story:

I’m sorry the little boy was upset that his dog was taken, but he did get the dog back, although without the family jewels. I remember reading that this dog was used for stud service. Now that this is not a job Homer can do anymore, I’m wondering if that’s the real reason for the continued discontent. You got your dog back lady; he’s not going to be making any more babies or money for you – for that I am SO HAPPY! Back yard breeders should be regulated as severely as you would like to see the dogcatchers and humane society. Back yard breeders have exploited animals for profit and used and abused the lack of regulators to further such exploitation for far too long. Now that someone has “snipped” away your ill-gotten income you’re ticked off. Sandy why don’t you try selling Avon or Mary Kay instead, if I remember correctly you could use the product as much as the profit.

Smooches,
Oxoxoxoxox!

Anonymous said...

Hey lady you need to get the story straight, My income comes from a better source than that of breeding dogs and let me tell you I am pissed off because they STOLE my grandsons dog not that my income was taken away, You miss lady need to get the story correct before you go spouting off at the mouth and yes I am very pissed that his jewels are missing it isn't right that they just think they can pick up a dog or any thing else for that matter and take it off and have his family jewels removed. and apparently you must be one of them....
Sandy

Anonymous said...

smooches as you call yourself I am not going to stoop to your level it is about my grandson and not about making money,As I said before you have no idea about anything going on and I am sure you don't know me, and nothing about me or my family. And as far as you knowing me I'm sure that we all could use some Mary Kay. you have a good day.

Hey Rose,
haven't been on your blog in quite a while. Ms.Samples said her grandsons dog didn't chase cars but he sure as heck did a number on cats. As I understand it the dog was given to her grandson free with no papers to register him. As far as being a valuable stud dog that left him out. He may have bred with dogs running loose but that would have been it and as far as I know you really can't make any money off that. I have a dog of my own and it is either in a fenced yard or on a running cable. I care to much for mine to let him run loose in the community. If you own a dog or any other animal take responsibilty for it by keeping it safe.

ROSE said...

First of all, if anybody's going to be selling Mary Kay around here, I'd better be getting a discount.

Second, please don't in any way think that I was implying that Homer was in any way "abandoned/neglected/blah blah." That's just the ONLY justification the Humane Society can give for picking up a dog. They have to ASS-U-ME that it's been abandoned & at least MAKE AN EFFORT to find it's rightful owner.

Third, "back yard breeders" ??? Homer's jewels were secondary to his value as a family pet. There are lots of drunken wayward men (& some stone cold sober ones, too) around these parts making babies somebody else is going to have to take care of later. I don't see anybody snipping their jewels just because they were somewhere they weren't supposed to be. They certainly stray further than Homer did.

People raise & sell all sorts of things. I know people who buy fresh eggs from a guy who raises chickens. Is his income "ill gotten" too? I don't see anybody over in the Samples's neck of the woods getting rich, so BFD if they might've made some extra cash. Beats the h*ll out of the ways some people make extra cash around here.

Anonymous said...

The dog was given to him but that didn't mean they get papers for him he is a purebred jack russell terrier and as far as i know he didn't chase cats Sandy has a cat herself and he don't bother it. So what if he ran between sandy's house and her grandson's house and he did bred with the neighbor's dog which by the way was also a full blooded jack russell terrier. The dog is a valueable stud dog and a valueable dog in general that is a five yr old 's dog that he has had since he was two. You guys don't understand they had to watch that poor boy cry cause his dog was missing they searched woods asked neighbors and everything they were lied to by the humane ass. they told them they never seen or picked up a jack russell. Their grandson and son has been through alot so please lighten up on them.

Anonymous said...

How many other dogs has the humane society picked up?

Anonymous said...

more than a few...and they have no business doing so they are not the dog catchers

Anonymous said...

Regaurdless if the dog has papers or not dosenot mean he isnt purebred. I dont think its any of your business if the Samples got money from stud service, it doesnt effect you in the least. Just shows how the green eye shows up when someone else is gettin attention when your not. That little boy was hurt deeply and Mrs Samples has all the right in the world to be mad and to want to file charges. You know you would do the same thing if it happened to you. Shame on you for being nasty about a child missing his dog. Seems like i heard there is no leash law in this county so the dog thiefs are just that dog thiefs.

ROSE said...

I just came from the humane society's website Humane Association. Hopefully, all those animals listed are true strays and/or former pets people don't want anymore.

It's just sad that they've given themselves such a black eye. They're dependent on donations & the kindness of the public they're supposed to serve. With such a long "wish list" I simply can't fathom that they're out drumming up bogus business when they've already got so many animals draining their coffers. I've adopted several pets from the pound in my lifetime & honestly, if I'd heard stories like this beforehand, I'd have never forked over my $65 (or whatever). That kind of money tends to add up after awhile.

If the county commission isn't authorizing illegal pickups, does that mean they'll be taking action of their own? Seems to me they're the ones suffering in the long run - you can't tax a dog that's been stolen & shipped to another state.

How much does the humane society get in federal funding for each dog they house??

Anonymous said...

Ms Rose since you work for a law firm how about posting the Legislative act on Sunday Hunting which gives the people the right to vote on this issue if requested by a party or party's living in that county. Also ask if they would represent the people to bring suit against the CCC to get it on the ballot.

Anonymous said...

Why not just be grateful that a child has been reunited with his pet?

The way I see it is there were not any actual damages. Yes, they took him and took away his belongings, but what damage did occur?

To win a lawsuit, you are going to have to prove more than just emotional trauma. Actual damages need to have incurred. If he was not licensed as a stud dog and current taxes, being paid on such, that claim will not fly. You must have receipts from the Sheriffs office on the taxes too!

You do have the option of suing them in small claims court (magistrate) to try to reclaim the gas money you spent to go up there and pick him up. That is about it for monetary damages. Otherwise, there is little that you can do.

Anonymous said...

my guess is no one has ever incurred what the little boy has gone through or they would understand it all but i guess everyone has opinions just like a**holes and everyone is entitled to there’s only some stinks Teeee Heeee

Anonymous said...

Well you can sue someone for just about anything you want..In my opinion they have all right to sue they took their dog that was not abandoned abused or neglected he was very well taken care of and the same day they picked him up they was on their way to the vet and got him neutered they can't do that by law they have to wait 5 days they can only deworm them and vaccinate them in that 5 days. He was loved dearly by that little boy who had to suffer cause his dog was missing.Deputies said it was a strong case for them and they wanted to see something done about this not only for them but for everyone. What if they took some elderly's dog that they depended on for help them get their paper tell them when someone was comin or when the phone rang. It just isn't right.

Anonymous said...

maybe since that person knows so much about what they can sue for he/she must have been through this also. very well stated about the A**holes anonymous I like that.

Clay County has alot of know it alls. and for the person that said about homer chasing cats maybe if they cared about them they needed to have them in the house like the dogs were on a running cable or funced yard it is he/she own words.............

I have a dog of my own and it is either in a fenced yard or on a running cable. I care to much for mine to let him run loose in the community. If you own a dog or any other animal take responsibilty for it by keeping it safe.

Anonymous said...

Sue the person that picked him up as an individual instead of suing the human society as a organization.

Individuals can be sued as THIEVES.

Anonymous said...

Hey Sir Henry! for a small fee i'll take her off your hands, but she had better be purty or i'll bring her back.

a couple comments said that it should have been kept safe. i dont track with this comment. because if a peson picks up something that doesnt belong to them and keeps it the it is called stealing.

as a humane society in such a small county there couldnt possibly such a big time constraint on that dog wardens schedule. this is small town america not new york or LA he could have simply asked the home owners around close if it were their animal. then if he had something that was illegal(unpaid taxes, no tag or anything else) he coulda wrote a ticket or gave a warning.

here is a different scenerio

if my car window gets broken out while parked beside the road out in front of my house. Does that excuse the law breaker from any wrong doing because i didnt keep my car as safe as possible. providing there is a driveway or garage i coulda parked it in??

thats about the same concept with the dog being kept safe. if it were in a close area to their house it was safe from harm but not from a dog snatcher.

Kids, kids, I am sorry the little boy was upset, but luckily he did get his dog back. You can sue all you want but you’ve got to prove value of what was taken. And if you are not using the dog as a breeder you are out of luck. You’re not going to get a red cent. But if you do prove there was value in the dog’s jewels you would then be admitting to being a back yard breeder. Back yard breeders are flesh peddlers of the worst kind. They don’t care how many strays they are putting on the streets. They only want money!!! Do you think the animal shelters are only full of mutts and “bad dogs”?!! Hardly! I have purebred Labradors that were rescued from people who just wanted to make a buck! BFD? Yeah, big deal huh? They’re only dogs! That type of non-thinking spew is very irresponsible. I have been in animal rescue for longer than most of you have owned your dogs. I am sickened and disappointed in the human race over and over again in their treatment of domesticated and wild animals. Some people are just awful! So YES it does matter to me, it is my BUSINESS what you do with your dogs and cats. It should be everyone’s business how their neighbor treats their animals. Yes, I do care what happens to your dog. Because when you get tired of it, it will probably be up to me or another rescuer to take care of it and find them a deserving home!

Until there are no more strays on the street or in shelters no one should be able to knowingly breed a dog or cat. And your chicken for the eggs example is so stupid it would be funny if it weren’t so absurd! You eat the eggs the chickens lay! They don’t get sold to one family, then to another, then thrown out because they wee-wee on the floor, or get hit by a car, or abused and neglected.

I love chatting with you all, it always reminds me of the importance of education.

I know a lady who sold her daughter. She wasn't spayed or neutered. In fact, she went on to have several more children. The guy she sold her daughter to wanted her for perverted sexual reasons he shared with his friends. She knew that when she took his cash.

When it comes right down to it, yeah, it IS just a dog.

Do you have these same issues with pet stores? "Back yard breeders" aren't half as bad as stores like the one that got shut down in the mall. Is that where you got fired from?

smooches must not know anything about the situation, I'm sure that there are people out there that don't want there little pups after they (pee pee) but I'm sure that they really wanted to keep there dog or they wouldn't have traveled so far to reunite with him, I think that the whole story needs to come out before people start judging others, maybe it will maybe it won't but they are good people and there dog was snatched and that in its self is wrong no matter how you put it and these people here in Clay can not continue to do this. and all you said is sure a matter of opinion and that is what AMERICIA is all about the right to voice our opinion. so xoxoxox smooches to you too huney and you have a wonderful day and I hope you can sleep real good at night knowing that you all do this to good people and there animals.

I am a dog killer. kill a few every year and i enjoy it. i have killed them chasing my horses, killed them taking a duck and killed them out of my chicken coup.

i have no neighbors so dogs that make it to my place is usually one thay noone will miss. those are the dogs that dog warden should be picking up. i have told people around the county and the response was that i have a right to protect my stock.

i dont understand how the county will let my problem with dogs continue with old dirty unclean filth. then they go steal one out from a neighborhood and sell it or adopt it. gotta be selective enforcement.

how did it end up in PA any way. was there any relatives involved?? maybe someone used the dog warden spot for personal gain(your dog) for a family member or friend.

Pet stores are as bad as back yard breeders (BYB). That is where BYB take the ones that they can't unload from their newspaper ads. Sorry but you are wrong - again. You know a lady that sold her daughter to a pervert? You sure know how to pick your friends. Not my idea of a good peer group.

one last comment on the"dog snatching" I feel sorry for the little boy but if the dog was as loved and cared for as much as they say they would have made sure where it was at and not running loose. Would they have rathered the little boy see the dog run over on the road and killed. If the dog had bitten someone could they prove it had all the shots it was supposed to have and were taxes paid on the dog. Where are the vet bills on the health of this "valuable stud dog" I bet there arne't any. If the shoe were on the other foot and someone was suing them over a dog bite all heck would break loose. This smells very fishy trying to make a quick buck. It wouldn't be the first time. for example dvds scripts etx. Let it go you got your dog back the boy is happy why sue a non profit org. for your negligence.

Anonymous said...

well from what i know the people don't live beside the main road...they live back in a hollar...everyone around them let their dogs roam..you know there is no leash law in clay county.
there is 2 full blooded jrt's right beside them and they run loose and by the way you can't put a collar on a JRT's.

ROSE said...

It kinda looks like maybe too much rain/too much heat all at one time.

You can't put a collar on a JRT??? Hmm. That's intersting. Especially since I've seen it done on a regular basis. Not just a collar, but a leash.

I find this statement "You know a lady that sold her daughter to a pervert? You sure know how to pick your friends" is highly amusing. How does "I know a lady" translate into "I have a friend" ??

I have a questionable peer group sometimes. Doesn't make me a bad person. It has, however, made for some hollerin' good times on occasion!

BAHAHAHAHAHA

Anonymous said...

your not suppose to put a collar on a jrt because they are varmit dogs and they could follow something back to its hole and they could get stuck in the hole by its collar or could get it stuck on anything else for that matter.

To all the curious people who think that there will be a lawsuit over Homer there will be NONE and has been no mention of any . This matter is none of your concern . I do not feel I have to explain my or my family's actions to anyone. I hope this clears up this matter. Thank You

If there is not going to be a lawsuit filed over this "dog snatching" incident, then why in the hell is the little boys mother saying that they are in the process of suing the ass off of the humane society?? It's pretty sad when someone decides to sue a non profit organization, who's sole purpose is to try and better the community in which they are a part of. If this dog was as truly loved as this family is wanting everyone to believe it is, then why weren't they keeping a better eye on him? I have a family pet, that is also a dog and is loved just as much if not more than "homer" supposedly is, and believe me the humane society wouldn't have a chance to pick my dog up. I honestly hope that this family can keep a better eye on the little boy, than they did on the dog!!!

Ok now that is quite enough of ur bullshit. Don't u ever question the way Hunter is taken care of. Now for the dog snatching.. Homer was a the end of our drive way..about 20 yards....(thats 60 feet for u iliterate dumbasses) when they came and STOLE him And thats exactly what happened..they STOLE him along with my neighbors dog which was there with Homer. and as far as the sueing goes we never said a damn word about suing anyone...if your able to read then you probly would have saw that in comment that my father left. once again showin how big of a dumbass you truly are...runnin your mouth about things you know nothing about.
---->>Brian Samples<<----unlike you i'm not afraid to let people know who is talking about them

Ok this is Hunter's mother Randi Jo..we are not sueing the Humane Assoc. I don't know who put that entry in saying they was me and we were sueing them but I am his mother. And please lady or gentleman don't ever question if i watch my son. My son means the world to me.

GOOD MORNING!

Why is it that the people who are the most impressed with their own opinions are the ones who never leave their names?

If my kids wander out of our yard, should I have to worry about them being picked up by Social Services?

The humane society's job IS to try & better the community. That means taking care of the animals they've already got, not scouting the county, drumming up business. Don't we pay a dog catcher for that?

Thanks for the JRT collar clarification. I thought "couldn't" meant ... "couldnt," not "shouldn't."

Rose I'm surprised at you! This is your blog alright, but you want your cake and eat it to. You want discussion but only if it's in agreement with you?! And only if they leave their names? Why so these redneck country dumb assess can come kick my a*s because I don't agree with them?! Abner your wife came to this blog several times asking for our opinion - why don't you tell HER it's none of our business! You need to get her on a leash. And teach your kids the proper use of the English language. They need edumakatin!

Yes, smooches, it IS my blog. Which is why I've edited your comment for language & left Brian's alone. My blog, my rules.

"teach your kids the proper use of the English language" ??? What the h*ll is a "dumb assess" ???

ROSE said...

"You want discussion but only if it's in agreement with you?!"

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Would you care to explain or were you talking out your assess?

Anonymous said...

Sounds like smooches has a problem. Did you delete one of his comments rose? Or just disagree with him?

Anonymous said...

Smooches, go back and re-read what you wrote. Assess means to estimate the value of (property) for taxation. THAT is the word you used: assess!

Anonymous said...

Now, Smooches, just what were you saying about teaching kids the proper use of the Engligh language and education?????

Thank you, Anon @ 09:24:15. That's exactly correct. Pay attention to yourself, smooches. Assess isn't subject to editorial liberties.

I don't take it personally that you're dissing my relatives at all. In fact, if you run out of things to diss them about, I'll throw some morsels your way so you don't get bored. They've all been dissed by bigger, better, less anonymous smoochers & survived it just fine. That's part of what makes us so redneckish cool. We don't really care about The Masses.

Or, as we like to say around here, the Duh Masses.

Ms Rose,
why are you taking up so much for your relatives? I understand taking up for family, but good grief, if they are wrong they are wrong. And in this situation this seems very wrong. Why go after an organization that is truly trying to do its best in Clay County? Unlike all these other "non-profit" organizations that take advantage of the trusting citizens of Clay County and spend, spend, spend the tax payers money on their own personal expenses, the Humane Society actually does what it is supposed to do, and does it quite well. I am also tired of my tax paying dollars paying for people who get divorced, then live together with a child, and get food stamps, when I work everyday just to get by and pay my bills. Apparently this is routine for this family. If I was a dishonest person and lied to the welfare office, I could get food stamps too. From what I know about this family, this is how they get by. Suing, cheating and lying is the norm for them. I'm not talking about your entire family Rose,(the majority of them are good people who make an honest living) just this one small portion...everyone else in the family pulls their own weight. By the way Rose, does a certain member of this portion of the family still get a discount at the Farm Store?? LOL!!!

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...
sh*t can't be no worse then those people out there getting welfare and ssi that are able to work. and that is about half of clay county. Plus have you guys not figured out enough is enough let it go everyone is done talking about it they are not sueing the human assoc. anyway can you not read it is stated in a earlier blog by randy samples.

Anonymous said...

I think that this all should be blamed on the Gal that took the dog not the Samples' nor the Humane Association, neither are at fault only the gal that picked the dog up that day and hauled butt straight to the vets office. There wasn't a 5 day holding period like there was suppose to be. So why not Diss her she is the negligent one. They have stated that there isn't going to be a law suit so why not drop it all.

ROSE said...

I don't mean to be argumentative (intentionally), but what am I saying that you're construing as "taking up for" my family?

I've merely stated my opinions on the matter, just like everybody else. Those opinions would stand, whether it was family, perfect strangers or anybody in between.

You're absolutely right - wrong is wrong. In my opinion, what happened with Homer is wrong. Notice I said "in my opinion" - which is neither right nor wrong, it just is.

In my opinion, O.J. was guilty as sin. "Life in prison" is a waste of my tax dollars. Parents of morbidly obese children should be charged with child abuse. The No Child Left Behind Act is one of the most asinine bits of legislation ever written. As a country, we can never overcome the shame we should feel over the way we treated Vietnam vets. We should spend more money & effort on taking care of our old & feeble and let the young & able take care of themselves.

See? I have lots of opinions I'm perfectly willing to share that aren't necessarily shared by everyone. Doesn't mean I'm defending/disputing/agreeing with anybody.

I will say, though, that adding my name to the Do Not Call list & starting up this blog was a good decision. Y'all don't just hang up like telemarketers eventually do.

Anonymous said...

I for one agree with Rose. And, in my opinion, (love that phrase)our legislators should have to live on minimum wage while they are passing those asinine laws and retire on minimal social security like the rest of the populace does in their old age. Think of the tax dollars that would be saved!

ROSE said...

I'd be willing to splurge my tax dollars to give them all flags upon retirement.

They could use them to keep warm while they pilfer through Dumpsters for supper.

When they got really cold, they could burn them.
