Not too long ago, the spring loader on my son's BB/pellet gun broke. Daisy Outdoor Products told me to send it back to them via UPS & they'd repair/replace it.
I took the gun to work wrapped in a Kroger shopping bag & shipped it from there (they sent us a brand new one less than a week later! Excellent customer service!!).
Nobody cared. No security alarms, no bells & whistles, no nuthin'. Granted, it's just a BB gun, but ... I work in a bank building.

Here in the ever popular Kanawha County, my youngest child goes to an elementary. They keep the front door by the office locked in accordance with some sort of safe school policy. However, the back door by the lunchroom and the stairwell that leads up stairs is usually propped open.
The middle school my older child attends is open to the public and many times I have walked past the office to go upstairs. Of the 3 or 4 people usually milling around the office I have noticed on more than one occaision that no one even looks up to see who has come in the front door.
I'd say it's pretty darn easy to get into any school at any time with anything.

While working out of state, I made several trips back home and tore up some I-64. I managed to see many wild things on the road, but 2 of them were very satisfying. The first was when we were stuck in night construction in beckley and traffic was backed up to the toll booths. Well, the little 16 year old kid behind us decided to be all cool and when traffic would move, he'd sit still, then hammer the gas and lock up the brakes right before he hit me. He did this 3 or 4 times, and each time he came closer and closer to hitting us. he finally passed me, then did the same thing to the car beside me and almost lost control more than once. At this point, I'm beyond upset, so I dialed *SP (state police) and told them that I'd like to report a drunk driver that was hot dogging in traffic and I just saw him throw a beer bottle in the middle of the interstate. When we pulled up to the toll booth, there was a state police officer there waiting on him. He probably didn't get in trouble, but I'm sure it ruined his day.
The 2nd happened in richmond, va. Same kinda kid, same kinda driving. Only this time, he was hotdogging behind a semi, so that shows how smart he is. A few hours later, after having left that kid long ago, we get stopped in traffic off the interstate. There had been a fender bender.... and it was the exact same kid from the interstate. he had plowed into the back of an old Bronco. The bronco only had a dent in his bumper, but the kid's car was demolished.. and on top of that, the SUV behind his car ate his back end too, so his little hotrod was basically turned into an accordian.

in my travels while on vacation with the federal government. i noticed the federal marshalls rarely ever stopped for stop signs. and having been sitting where i could get an unobstructed view of the speedometer in the van returning from LEWISBURG the federal marshall rarely ever dropped under ninty five[95] miles per hour. they also kept $110.00 dollars of my money even though my attorney asked for its return twice and they promised to return it. it was never returned.

Hate to bring up the subject of dogs again but can someone answer a question for me. I had my female dog spayed 7 months ago. Last week she showed signs of coming in season. Called the vet said this was not unusal but she wouldn't breed. Well low and behold yesterday morning I wake up and there she is with my male dog. My back porch screen is torn to pieces by some dog trying to get in I put my little male dog out he tears up my front porch screen door and is also attacked by a big dog outside. Not only that but I am cleaning carpets, couch etc. you get my drift. Would the vet be responsible since I have a receipt for her spay?
Spaying is like getting "tubes" tied in humans it only takes out the crib and puts the playpen in. The only guarantee in life::: pay taxes and death.

Been on the books since Madeline Murray O'hara got prayer removed from school. Like everything else done or voted on by Byrd, its called a tradeoff. He fails to mention the $7,000,000.00 clock he had built in the National Forest up on Cranberry Glades that noone ever needed nor would ever use. His explanation for it, "It only loses a billionth of a second a year". Who in their right mind cares?
It's possible I'm overanalyzing here or maybe I just don't have enough information. To "pray" is simply to make a request or give thanks or in essence, talk, right? To God, usually. So if you talk silently, isn't that the equivalent of thinking? So Byrd is trying to make it legal to think in school? Well, PRAISE THE LORD for that!
In reference to the dog, a claim made in small claims court could probably recoup the cost of the surgery if it wasn't actually performed. It'd require a 2nd opinion from a different vet, though.

I was Martha Stewart on TV this evening and a commerical was aired. It was talking about gay marriages and getting a law on the books to prevent it and not letting the government disgrace marriage. In the commerical it talked about the government giving custody of a child to a liasban and not the grandparents and showed a picture of the woman printed in an article.
This commerical/smear-ical really made me mad. The dumb bunnies that approved the commerical should have stopped to think about the child involved. This child has friends in the county and they are going to see it. What kind of harrassment is this child going to recieve because of this? If I was the woman or the family of the woman or child I would sue the pants of them. Enough is enough.
