How about some coherent yakking?
Damn! I wanted to be first >: (

Hey, Big fat ferry! tell us what your feet look like in 25 words or less. I can see the antisapation of every one to take there turn at this one.

ROSE said...

We'd have to give BFF 50 words or less; 25 for each foot, since they don't really have anything in common with each other. BAHAHAHAHAHA

LOL

I'm sure the people who cross the Dundon Bridge on a regular basis give a rip about having a new one, but really ... I'd rather have a new one to replace the Camp Creek Bridge. teeheehee

SmileyTD said...

I think the one at Camp Creek is kinda' cool. It's fun to stand on it, look down through the holes in the grates and watch the water flow by underneath. (Yes, I AM easily amused.) :P

ROSE said...

That makes me wanna puke. LOL

feel free.

When you think they'll ever get to the Ivydale bridge? It looks like its ready to fall in the river any second. Hartland isnt much better, the only thing keeping it up is the water's floating it from below!

Anonymous said...

surely no one would think of jumping off the bridge without a life jacket and a helmet on. would the state be responsible for your hosp. if you were hurt or for funeral costs if drown-ed.

Anonymous said...

It amazes me as to how safe Hartland bridge is after complaing to the state and Washington both of the dangers it has become. It is the safest bridge in the county according to them even though it has dropped close to four inches in the past couple of years.
With most of the industry in Clay County located south of that bridge you would think that local officials would step up to the plate and get a new bridge as they all cry about the economy and how much industry is needed here.
Sure is funny that with industry on the south side of the river and most of the employment going on in the entire county government officials would get a bridge built to support those businesses and connect them to I79 but that would create more business and get some of the voters off welfare.
I have written many letters to government officials about Camp Creek bridge also but they don't want to interfere with Bobby Lewis and his right to privacy living at the end of that bridge. He don't want tourism down there so the bridge there will remain closed.
They also could care less about any type industry in Clay County unless they can get the pat on the back. I79 was the big boom for Clay County supposingly but after cutting off businesses along route 4 we have really prospered with all that I79 has brought to the town of Clay and the county north.
Our prosper from it goes to Kings Wrecker Service, Clay Ambulance, Clay&Big Otter Fire Dept. and an occasional speeder when the WVSP are on their way home and feeling up to stopping somebody.

I'd hate to see the Camp Creek Bridge ever be replaced. It's such ... an icon of sorts.

I know lots of people who have jumped off of it. Not ME, of course. But it sure sounded like fun!

ROSE said...

You're going to get SirHenry in trouble, Curious. Advertising that he's rich with a bad heart will have every gold-digging chick in town chasing him ... teeheehee

Anonymous said...

The Dundon bridge had to be replaced. The plan is for the school system to buy property off Morgan Gibson for a new high school in 2012.
Have to support the elite bluebloods in Clay! Increase their property value!

Anonymous said...

Hey I object to that being bald part. I have all the hair I need, it just migrated to my back and arss.
AW Mel Gibson Look alike

ROSE said...

My dad says that God only made a few perfect heads; the rest he put hair on.

AW's head is just taking it's sweet ol' time reaching it's full perfection.

BAHAHAHAHAHA

Anonymous said...

Hey Rose! I had a uncle, God rest his soul, died years ago, and carried a nick name{Bald-headed-niger-winch} I'ts finally good to know he was the perfect man.

ROSE said...

Um ... we're all perfect, in our own special ways.

Right?

LOL

Anonymous said...

Sheeeesh! It's nigger and wench.

Anonymous said...

You think I want the ACLU after my black arss? Every one knows nigers don't like to be called nigers, and winchs probably got equil rights also.

Anonymous said...

a little explanation of the word niger, a derogatory term used by ignorant people, the same type of people who call us rednecks hillbillies. the word niger comes from the Niger river that currently is flowing through Nigeria. [was the last i heard] Thats in Africa for those who don't know.

was there 3 weeks one time. Laying offshore waiting for a dock to unload at. Lagos, the city. ships lying all over. took over an hour to get ashore by launch.

understand there's a big island in that bay. may be the lost land of Atlantis. King Hanno of Carthage made an exploratory trip that ended near there. that was back BC, i think. anyway before Africa had been circumbulated. and Sindbad was still finding Roc eggs.

Anonymous said...

You know so much,or look it up, why do they call nigers=coons? And is a winch a winch cause they pull you in, in a sence?

Anonymous said...

Hey call a spade a spade. Y'all are talking about two different htings here. Ni'ger= a river in Africa. Nig-ger a slang word for a person of color who tends to be shiftless. It is not used for every person of color. A winch is something that goes on the front of your truck. A wench is something that goes in your truck. A wrench is something used to work on your truck.

Anonymous said...

But why are nigers called coons?

Anonymous said...

And why do they call me a jungle bunny when i've never been in a jungle?

Anonymous said...

How come white people are called honkies??

HONK! HONK!

Anonymous said...

Wrong, we are called Crackers!

Anonymous said...

With all this name calling, take it from the source.

Anonymous said...

Cause their eyes light up and their tummy says howdy.

ROSE said...

LOL

I don't even want to be part of this conversation ...

& of course I picked up on that one, SirHenry! I've been the recipient of some of the best lines of all time.... BAHAHAHAHA LOL

Anonymous said...

stick n stones may break my bones, but names just make me cry!

Anonymous said...

nigger and niger are related because slaves were collected from the Niger river area of africa. there is also an area callrd the GOLD COAST, black gold that is. Honkies are people from HUNGARY.

coon is self explanatorythey did at one time eat a lot of coon along with chitlins. [hog guts]

crackerd are Georgia people who did crack the whip over slaves.

Anonymous said...

Looks like y'all are going crackers.

Anonymous said...

Big fat ferry says they round and have a belly button.

Anonymous said...

Don't be puttin' words in my mouth. What round with a belly button? Crackers? Only a ritz!

Anonymous said...

Ooops! That would be WHAT'S round... not what round...

Anonymous said...

I wonder if Morgan gibson an AW are related? They both got the same last name, however,Morgan does have more hair.

Anonymous said...

Don't get it huh?
It means you can't even see your feet your belly is in the way.

ROSE said...

I don't mean to change the subject, but when the government imposes the "Stop Loss," isn't that breach of contract?

What do you have to sign when you sign up for the military?

If you sign a 2-year commitment & you're told it's going to be extended to 4 years, is it just that simple?

Anonymous said...

lse plenty dumb Rose whut you talkin' bout ,stop-loss.

ROSE said...

teeheehee Obviously, I assume everybody's watching the morning news while they're checking the blogs.

That's what it's called, right? Stop Loss? Where the military extends your tour of duty. Where you're scheduled to be home for Christmas, but the military says, "Nope! Guess what?! You belong to us for another 2 years!"

Anonymous said...

Good mornin Rose, you perfect example of a female human being, true true true, it's nothing more than breach of contract. But for the last few years the administration has nothing but made new rules as they go along. Impeach the Beach!

Anonymous said...

hey, whut you call it when dey call you up and say now swear, no contract. show cowardice in de face of de enemy. summary judgement. BAM you no more. lika dat fella Viet Nam street. BAM. no honor in our politicians any more. should BAM BAM BAM. Maybe find a BUSH cracker. a little discipline maybe help. MERRY THANKSGIVIG and a HAPPY NEW YEAR to y'all.

Anonymous said...

They phrase "nigger wench" or "wench" was a female black slave.

"To be Sold:

A healthy negro wench about 33 years old. She is good for cooking and washing any other type of house work, and understands feeding cattle and farm work."

A buck was (and still is) male nigger.

Anonymous said...

Stop loss is many things: unfair, wrong, etc. but it is NOT a breach of contract. Here's why: When enlisted personnel are due to get out of the military (their enlistment is finished), getting out is not automatic. What I mean by that is just because an enlistment ends, say on July 20th, 2007 the person doesn't simply wait until that day and say "thanks, I'm outta here" and walk off the base. Military separation has to be approved by the person's commander as well as the particular Command that person is assigned to. I am in Air For Space Command. If my enlistment were up and I wanted to get out it would have to be approved by my commander (who is a Major) and then the powers that be at Air Force Space Command. Usually, this is not a problem, in fact it's pretty automatic. However, when the Commander-in-Chief (the President) institutes stop loss it gives those commanders the power to say "no, you can't get out yet". This provision is part of every enlistment contract. It's not fair to the people who have fulfilled what they thought was their entire obligation but it is not illegal. It just sucks.
I hope I've cleared that up for ya.

Anonymous said...

During wartime there is no date set for getting out of the military as long as the war goes on. Conflict is also a time when superior officers can hold you in the service indefinitely. If you sign up for a two year stint and a war is under way that automatically goes to a six year stint or until they deem it necessary to release and replace you. Stop Loss, breach of contract or whatever you want to call it, your scrawny A** is theirs until they want you out and turn you loose.

Anonymous said...

how cum when a white person calls a black person a nigger, its racist. but when a black person calls a black person a nigger, its funny?

Anonymous said...

Well ya don't have ta be a dwingle flicker about it, Sir Henry!

ROSE said...

Thanks, USAFCowboy! That certainly clears it up, but it still makes no sense.

Seems to me if somebody's done their duty, served their time & doesn't want to fight somebody else's battles anymore, he should be able to go the h*ll home.

The "N" word is considered to be one of THE most offensive in the English language, far more taboo than the "F" word in social acceptability. Blacks use it in reference to themselves to rob it of it's offensiveness.

I wonder if ours is the only language that has a word like this? What gives a mere word that much power?

Anonymous said...

Clue #1 He's got a holiday named after him.

Anonymous said...

Yeah Rose but that word is not alone. The sterotyped cry babies are the ones crying the loudest. They want equality, so do like us and work for it. white eyed devils and honkies must have thicker skin and are not looking for a handout. They think we owe them. What a sorry joke. Give em a yard and they want the whole football field.

Anonymous said...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Isn't this the same blog that's always going on and on about all the people around Clay County on welfare? And I haven't seen too many black people in Clay County!

I could seriously go for some finger lickin' chicken & ribs. Throw in some shoo fly pie & a hunka chocolate & I'd be willin' to double my weight! I want to work there so I can take home all the leftovers every day.

Many moons ago, I had a best friend who was black as moonless midnight. My best friend now is a lovely shade of ivory. I'm sure it means something that they both share the same first name, which was also my mom's nickname. (Everybody say, "Oooooo ... that's deep ... LOL)

What I don't understand is that if being black is so undesirable, why do so many people fry themselves in tanning beds?

Anonymous said...

YUM! Ribs & Chicken & tacos & pizza & subs!!!!! Clay will be just one big food court.

Anonymous said...

Now see there Rose, there's an idea some one could do something with. And with the deli gone on main st., a rib & bbq chicken joint would be a big hit. The KKK can dine there also.
