ROSE said...

Ah, Tater. He might be outta the runnin', but ... then again, he might be back. Maybe about the same time as Spud. teeheehee

I noticed that Michael Gafney's now doing a truck commercial AND I just bought a Little Yellow Jacket lighter at Speedway.

Does that help? What if I mentioned the legends, like Ty Murray & Tuff Hedeman? Dancin' With Thunder ... for 8 seconds ...

Elvis imitators?? LOL These are real men! Who could be The Pole any ol' time they wanted to ...

BAHAHAHAHAHA

They've come to the right place.

I was so hoping to find some fellow PBR junkies, but ... I guess there's really not enough room in my closet, anyway.

ROSE said...

I will never, ever, EVER get rid of my black polyester, Fashion Maven. I will, however, eventually save it for special occasions, favoring lovely pastel polyesters for every day. In fact, I'm thinking of getting some polyester jumpsuits. Maybe in powder blue? teeheehee

Why limit yourself to Sundays? Man, they're on Saturdays, too!!

Hey!! I never got to vote for a governor of Clay!!

Was that another one of those secret elections nobody knew about??

Anonymous said...

If you get a rodeo to come to Charleston, you might get to be in a movie (like Borat's) like the folks did in Salem VA. I don't think they liked being in that movie at all.

I need information from Clay County. We would like to rent a house/cabin preferably on the river for a week to 10 days this summer. I know ya'll know of places. We would even consider trading places if someone wants to come to the Carribean for a week to 10 days. Names, phone numbers & websites, please.

ME, ME, ME, CAYMOMMA!! PICK MY HOUSE!

It's got 8 bedrooms, 4 baths, a tricked out game room with 4 big screen TVs, a fully stocked wet bar (with hot young stud bartender AND babalicious waitress) & grocery delivery every 48 hours. Oh & the housekeeper comes with it. We'll also leave you the keys to the vintage Bentley. Don't worry about gas & such - the chauffeur will take care of all that for you.

Whaddaya say? Ya wanna trade for a coupla weeks?? PLEASE??

Hey, BBB!! Last week (or whenever it was when the weather was still fit for human consumption), we had lettuce & onions coming up, left over from last year. But my poor ol' weeping willow is all brown & forlorn ...

Um, Hippy? When Caymomma & I house swap, you can come over & look at HER in a bikini. She looks way better than I even have the time to attempt to maintain.

BAHAHAHAHAHA LOL

Anonymous said...

I'd love to see you in a bikini rose!!! A thong bikini.. Woohoo

teeheehee Sssssshhhh, Hippy. This is the Internet. I can say anything I want & it's automatically true, no matter how far from the truth it might be.

I will admit, though, that when my husband discovered we had a babalicious waitress & 4 big screen TVs, he seemed a little perplexed ...

ROSE said...

My husband pretty much stays in a perpetual state of perplexment. Poor soul's lived with me a long, loooooong time. LOL

Anonymous said...

Rose would look much better in a sarong. imagine her as one of those Geisha girls that only purpose in life is to please a man. would be much better than looking at her ugly arse in or out of a thong. who ever you are you give your inexperience away. if you'd ever looked at one of them things face to face you'd see they're not purty. but shucks it feels so good. who cares.

ROSE said...

I hate you, SirHenry. LOL

SB, nobody said they wanted to see Rose in a thong; they just said they wanted to talk about Rose in a thong.

I'd personally rather not. I've seen Rose in a thong. That ain't all I've seen.

Anonymous said...

hey let's not quibble. Rose in a song a sarong or a thong. who cares. A Rose is a rose, is a rose.

Anonymous said...

Let's talk about ANDY WADDELL and MELISSA POSTELWAIT in MATCHING thongs. I need to lose some weight and that would make me puke. ALOT.

Anonymous said...

John Hawke at South Central is a curious lad. Says he's 6'0 and weighs in at 200 lbs. He look like hes ten years old.

Anonymous said...

Rose in a thong, hmmm, I dont think so!

I seen more meat on the spare ribs that I ate for dinner the other night.

Yuck nasty bones hanging out! Ewwww, now that would make me puke more than what I said earlier!

ROSE said...

I can see my fears of going public in a bathing suit & having people see all my flab have been horribly unfounded.

Ya know, I had ribs for supper tonight & I can honestly say ... I can't in any way compare with ribs. Though it does sort of concern me that somebody's thinking of me while they're sucking bones.

sirhenry you will find in Clayberry that anything that has to do with law enforcement has to be a civil matter first and then a law matter.
In other words, I am to lazy to do anything unless I am forced to do it, or if its worth doing then you pay through the nose to get it done and if a judge says I have to do then I will.
Now with that said that new $25.00 building fee that has come to surface, barns, chicken house, dog lot or any other thing we deem necessary to make you pay for a permit to build, is just our way of saying Thank You for the vote to elect us officials to steal your money and to add more so we can steal it from you also.
Its time to get to the CCC meeting folks and put a stop to this one in a hurry. Its your property, bought and paid for by you so who needs to have a say as to what, where or how you build anything on it?
Communism SUX
along with full time Commish and ideas like this one

Anonymous said...

i wonder; do city ordnances apply to county property. seems to me it is being said that the city gave state highway rt. 4 to the state. all that is inside city limits. if the city has no authority over state property, then why do their ordnances apply to county property?

if you own property in the 100 yr floodplane you can take a dump on it as long as you don't get comfortable. put up a board to s*it on and it costs $25.00.

ROSE said...

Perhaps Congress should introduce a bill that the President could approve as law that would allow state Legislatures to propose legislation that would allow County Commissions to appoint a Micro Management Ordinance Enforcement Team. It's very time consuming for local sheriffs to uphold every little ordinance that comes their way, ya know.

In the meantime, if you catch somebody smoking outside the courthouse, grab that person by the arm, scream "CITIZEN'S ARREST! CITIZEN'S ARREST!!" in your best Gomer Pyle voice, drag his criminal behind inside & tie him to a chair. You, the arrester, will be charged with assault & get some free anger management classes out of it. When you go back to the courthouse to check in with the judge, feel free to light up outside, 'cause nobody's going to stop you.

When you've got some downtime, sneak onto the original smoker's property & build him a cheap little shed. Then go to the sheriff's office & file a complaint reporting said unpermitted shed. Of course, another Micro Management Ordinance Enforcement Team will have to be appointed to verify & confirm such complaints.

In the end, both of you will go to jail, removing you both from the local economy & sucking even more money from the county. But by golly, that original smoker will be punished!!

Anonymous said...

hey Rose i believe you misunderstood me. i was asking for personal reasons. i don't smoke and don't give a damn whodoes or where they do it. only trying to get the laws clarified. i'll com back later if you're on the right side of the bed. again i don't give a damn whethwer you are or not.

ROSE said...

IS, I was talking to the topic, not you specifically.

Go pick your wedgie. I'm gonna have another cuppa java. Maybe we'll both see things differently later.

Anonymous said...

WOW sounds like Is

is a little hateful. if you would read rose's comment it wasn't directed at you. It was directed at a few post that were done this morning and of course it was her point of view.

The answer to your question is that the city cant pass laws that directly effect the whole county. But we are talking about the county comission passing the permit fees not the city.

which these aren't new fees and the county is trying to cover themselves with stricter laws.

I bought a new double wide home last year and before the dealer would sell it to me i had to have a permit in hand(which cost 25$$)

I asked the salesman about it and he explained that Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) passed laws saying that the permit required on all new structures that could possibly be claimed for damages in case of flood.

If the the permit and survey isnt done FEMA might not pay. If the county gives a permit without a survey in the flood plain the county is responsible for your flood damage not FEMA. For knowing it is the plain and allowing you to put it there without any corrective measures.

But if everything is in place and you have given the government all rquired monies, then the FEMA help should be there in case of flood disaster. I bet the county comissioners have recently been made aware of the FEMA laws that were put in place about 2-3 years ago and they are moving to cover themselves.

Anonymous said...

sorry, i wasn't aware that either FEMA or the county was responsible for your damages if you made a stupid mistake like bldg. where a flood could damage you.

Anonymous said...

I don't give a rats a** about flood plains or FEMA myself but I do care about having to get a $25.00 permit to construct a building on my own personal property. If I want to build a outhouse I don't think anybody has the right to tell me I can't because of a Fee needed. I didn't need a fee to buy the land and I don't think I need a law to tell me where or how I construct a barn, chicken house, hoghouse, goat shed or a dog house for that matter. Its just another way to put money into the system for the county to steal and another of my rights infringed upon.
I didn't need a freaking permit to work for the money to buy my home or the land it sits on. Each right you have taken from you is just another step towards Communism and you can explain it however you want it still comes down to the same thing. The Land of the Free and Home of the Brave is just that and it is getting worse every day. I can understand getting a permit to build a home and even if you don't have enough sense to build up away from the creek that shoul be the only permit necessary and FEMA will not pay you for lost dog houses, chicken coops, barns or whatever you want to build so you better get it up away from the creek if you want to keep it. If not then your loss belongs to you.
Screw a bunch of politicians before they get the chance to screw you first and this is just one of the many ways they have figured out and have taken it to the limits to do just that.

Anonymous said...

i agree all the way. just another way of taking money from all and giving to those they wish to have it and stickin some in their pockets as it goes by.

hey folks forgive me i'm all on edge this morn. just mortaged the kitchen sink to buy 200 shrs. stock of a computer co. with a projected 1500% increase for the coming yr. baloney[bologna for the upper class] sandwiches for everyone if i hit. just liuke playing the lottery.

Anonymous said...

fema pays for any structures or land damage. in 97 i got a healthy check just because part of my yard got washed out, i lost a foot bridge and my only outbuilding was knocked off foundation

Anonymous said...

why does FEMA pay for your damages. did you have insurance. pay premiums? or was it gratuity from the taxpayers. it's a nice thought but thats what paid for the damages of hurrican Katrina and look at the mismanagement[graft] there. only goes to prove that our politicians are mostly gifted thieves given the opportunity.

Anonymous said...

i did have homeowners insurance on the house, but my building was wasnt covered because of some type of small print issues. you will be surprized what policies dont cover in case of flooding. after that i had to get a flood plain survey done.

so in the end i was left without my building and my bridge. fema didnt give enough money to cover the whole cost of the rebuild. but it was definitely a huge help

and thats what FEMA does. they pay out in times of emergency in assistance funds. trying to get people back as close to normal as possible.

they did it for hundreds in our county. oh and the year wasn't 97 it was 98. both years was bad for us but my loss was in june 98.

Anonymous said...

ID rather see some body here get it than for it to go along with all that welfare, red cross, whatever else that went to those new orleans welfare leeches.
Too bad they had to interrupt their thieveing and looting to go pick up their checks.

Anonymous said...

those new orleans people were also eligible for payments from FEMA. this is a national program. supposedly everyone in a disaster area who fit their guidelines is eligible. The problem is the cover ups, graft, and outright robbery by the law enforcement at times. some of our FEDERAL officials[workers] are crooks and would rather steal than work. most of them know they will not be brought to trial if caught. especially those in the FREEMASON lodge.

Anonymous said...

LS, in two of your posts, you made mention of the word "graft". I am not understanding the meaning of how you are using that word. Care to clarify?

Anonymous said...

why?

Anonymous said...

LS, I was trying to follow along with the conversation and I know the meaning of the word "graft" and how it is used, however, you used the word "graft" and I lost the meaning of what you were trying to say. That's all. If you don't want to clarify, I don't care. I just think you misused a word and don't know how to say that you did. Everyone on this site misuses words all the time. Not blaming you.

Sounds like the County Commission needs to appoint a Micro Management Ordinance Enforcement Team to deliver citations to Nasty Thong Wearers. Of course, there will have to be another Micro Management Ordinance Enforcement Team appointed to deliver even harsher pentalties to those with Disgusting VPLs.
