CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Federal prosecutors are seeking to freeze the assets of an in-home health care provider for elderly and disabled people, after West Virginia background checks found many workers with criminal histories, including convicted felons.
No criminal charges have been filed against Golden Heart In Home Care LLC of St. Albans. A civil complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Charleston alleges the company hired convicted felons, failed to do background checks and properly train employees, improperly paid them and billed for services it never provided.
The complaint also names owner Shida S. Jamie and her son, James S. "Jimmy'' Jamie. They didn't immediately return a message seeking comment Thursday.
Golden Heart is being investigated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the FBI, the Internal Revenue Service, the state Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and federal prosecutors.

There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:
1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.
2) They MUST buy a new American CAR. Forty million cars ordered Auto Industry fixed...
3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage Housing Crisis fixed.
It can't get any easier than that!!
P.S. If more money is needed, have all members in Congress pay their taxes....

Honestly, My son is the same age as Jason Tucker, Arlene's son. I never ever have seen her at a apple festival, the trout tournament, a carnival, a play or anything else except Jason's Ballgames. Most of the time her husband did not attend it was Granvilee and Nora Lantz that was with her. Arlene may be a good person but she knows noting about out community or how to get funding for it. Arlene has worked 15 years in the assessor office why leave now. Teresa went with her in Arlene's car and campaigned Bomont to you want a Commissioner that regulates your taxes that closely associated with the assessors that sets your taxes. I believe that is asking all of us for trouble. Remember this is not a popularity contest, I do not personally know or like Fran King but she has done a great job of working for the citizens and bringing grant dollars to our county and we should consider this when we vote. Like her or not Fran is as most all functions and participates in fire departments, the clean ups, works with the youth, VFW, I heard she even works with special olympics. Someone that does all that cannot be all bad.

Since we have them on a salary it should be a law they pay for their own stay up there. Bet the Elk River Inn would be glad for their business since they would pay out of their pocket. Send them both packing and I haven't decided if DW will go back to the legislature with my vote next year either. May just be necessary to have new faces down there also.

being an independant I voted a republican ticket. easy, there was no one on it. could have written myself on to the general ballot or did they pass a law saying you must acquire a certain % of the votes to qualify?

Well well things must be getting pretty close in Clayberry as I read in the Free Press where FK got a letter of recomendation from over in Huntington. Now just what would they know about Clay County. They know its the poorest of the poor counties in Wv and 98% of them could not tell you how to get to Clay let alone about what goes on here. Just another reason not to vote the TV Queen back in.

As for anyone knowing a job such as a Commissioners, County Clerk, Sheriff, Court Clerk or Assessor, Each has a training process and the Commissioners go up to the Greenbrier Hotel and spend their time to learn the job. Where the rest go I do not know about but more then likely the same place as its the highest hotel in the state and thats where the legislature and all the politicos spend most of the TAXPAYER FUNDED vacation. Since we have them on a salary it should be a law they pay for their own stay up there. Bet the Elk River Inn would be glad for their business since they would pay out of their pocket. Send them both packing and I haven't decided if DW will go back to the legislature with my vote next year either. May just be necessary to have new faces down there also.
As for Michelle Deyton evidently she knew the job pretty well or she would not have stayed there in the Clerks office all through Judy Moores Time there. 15 years of experience is not anything to throw out the window. She lost her job so Connie Workman could hire and train PT for her place when she retires in a couple years. All for political favors payback. We the voters fired him as a commissioner to get him out of the courthouse as he used it for a lounge. Then we'll call all the local news channels, who will camp out at the courthouse, where we'll be rallying, protesting the CRIME WAVE! in Clay & demanding everybody in office be replaced. We'll have the State step in & take over the entire county. Then we'll all stop paying our taxes, too, 'cause really, they can't arrest us all for tax evasion at the same time, 'cause we've already broken down the entire system.

I don't know about anybody else but I am sick and tired of people getting elected to a position and automatically think the voters OWE them a second, third, fourth etc. until they reach a retirement. Vote them in and vote them out and lets just forget about them drawing a retirement. Not only does it get things changed but will get them done also. Playing favorites is a way of life when it comes to politics.
As long as the voters vote them back in the taxpayers will be carrying them. The taxpayers don't have much of a chance getting a retirement plan anymore and that just leaves the politicians having that luxury. The rest of us get social security or ssi they get the limo retiremnet check plus what we get. Term Limits would create less corruption or more corrupters one.
Hands down, Fran has the biggest mouth but who's got the biggest ass? I say Arlene!
