Good morning!

What a lively discussion you all had going on while I was wasting away at the CRPSD meeting!

Have you heard about the Vermont judge who sentenced a child molestor to just 6 months in jail? The guy pleaded guilty to molesting a little girl for over 4 years, starting when she was only 6. The judge said he wouldn't get the "proper rehabilitation" in jail. The Governor of Vermont can be contacted at GOVERNOR@VERMONT.GOV.

Samuel Alito has answered over 700 questions ... I'd venture to guess 695 of them were regarding Roe vs. Wade.

If you see Trace Adkins today, tell him I said HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Hey, CB? I did want to say this about your comment re: the Clay blogs. This one is simple & drab for a reason. When I first decided to start this, it was to be "All Things Clay" - simple & dung colored seemed appropriate. Also, in keeping with the theme, it's never changed.

Sorry Rose to correct you but it was 60 days also good morning and TGIF i think.

SIXTY DAYS?? See, there's my selective hearing kicking in again. Maybe I'm destined to becoming a news reporter of some sort - I report it just however I want to. teeheehee

Thanks, George! TGIF, indeed!

Hey, WVChic30! My kids are moving in slooooow mooooootion this morning. LOL

The CRPSD board was 1 member short last night, but the audience was pretty full! The meeting was called to order at 7:10 - I got home at 11:00. YIKES!

Morning Rose. I say castrate the judge and the child molester.

According to what I read on the other blog, the bridge is blocked on both sides with rocks. I don't know if plans are being made to tear it down or not. Might take a drive down there and take some pics just in case it gets torn down which I so hope doesn't happen.

Anyway, Happy Birthday, Trace. And Happy TGIF even if it is Friday the 13th.

Have a good one. Later.

This is why I like you people - no pussy-footin' around what you're really trying to say. LOL

My mom has always had some very creative ways to deal with people like both the judge and the waste of human life. Someday, I hope to be half the woman she is. I think SHE should be a judge. teeheehee

Anybody heard anything about the guy driving the wrecker? Was it him or his son? that's a strait stretch of hiway & that's a lot of rubber on the road. Any charges? Don't mean to be insinsative, just wondering.

Andy Adkins Jr was the driver of the wrecker. No charges were filed nor do plan on filing any. He wasn't injured during the wreck.
Rumor is floating around that the law was going to charge him with manslaughter, but supposedly Clinton told the law that Andy indeed tried to stop and that he was at no fault.
I suspect this rumor is floating around because of Andy's previous time spent in prison. I could be wrong though.

Well.

Today was the Student of the Month luncheon at the elementary school Allie attended. I so admire everybody there for trying desperately to maintain a normal routine for everybody when the whole world has turned upside down. So many prayers for so many people.

My husband said the same thing about the viewing, hippy. "I bet there was 1,000 people there." Amazing.

Meanwhile, this is the weekend for the memorial for the Sago miners. The handful of protestors led by Fred Phelps plans to be there, in all their "God hates everybody" glory. The Patriot Guard Riders also plan to be there. By the hundreds. Motorcycles are wonderful inventions.

A 15-year-old 8th grader in Florida is in the hospital after being shot today by a Sheriff's deputy. The boy took a pellet gun to school; it looked real. He's on Advanced Life Support.

It's 68 degrees outside. Winter weather advisories/warnings go into effect later this evening.

In the immortal words of SouthernBoy, WTF??

Hey Rose! You or anybody still believe in the tooth ferry? My dad had 6 pulled yesterday and he put them under his pillow, and to his dismay the only person to show up so far was The Lone Stranger. The moral of this story, I'd rather have the stranger show up than a ferry. D.J.E.

ROSE said...

Hey, 3fingers! Probably the tooth fairy is staying well away from WV - we've not been having the best of karma recently.

Maybe if he leaves them there long enough, they'll string themselves into a necklace? LOL

Did the LoneStranger at least show up in a tu-tu & tiara??

What happened to that little girl is tragic. My heart and prayers go out to her mother and all of her family and friends. As a mother, I can't even imagine their heartache. At the same time, my heart aches for Andy and I pray that God and time will comfort him. I understand that he did all he could to stop that truck, including "standing on the brakes", he's a father too and I know his heart is broken. His pain will go on and he has to live with this heartache. His time in prison has no bearing on this tragic accident. Walk a man in a miles shoes before you comment and judge not lest ye be judged. We should all be praying for the parents and family of Allie and for Andy.

Hey, Rose. I sure hope a lot of people are watching 20/20 tonight. Title: "Stupid in America". All about public schools.

Some of the very things posted here as being wrong with our school system is the same all over and it all goes back to politicians, teacher's unions, and the kids are the ones losing out on a decent education. It's unreal.

ROSE said...

Hey, b...rulz! I swear, when it comes to education, a total idiot can figure out what's wrong. LOL

I know a lady who spent an entire school year fighting "the system" for naught. She did all the things she was told to do & still got nowhere. She was faced with a teacher who was totally clueless. In some fields, that's an acceptable state of mind. Not in education.

You have to have a "medically diagnosed disorder" to get any sort of results, so she just asked her doctor for a "diagnosis" for her child & POOF! got one, just that simple. Finally, the kid had a federally backed IEP in place & the teacher was forced to do her friggin' job. She still failed miserably. The principal failed also by not enforcing any consequences upon the teacher's failure. The higher ups failed by doing nothing.

The child was transferred to a different school. The "diagnosis" didn't exist. He's now doing wonderfully. Go figger.

Rose, did you watch 20/20? It was so informative. I believe every word that was said. I see it with my own eyes and hear it with my own ears everyday. We have kids in high school and kids that have graduated and they CAN'T READ. Some of them can barely sign their name on a check, if they even know how to write of check. It's so sad for the kids and so sickening for me to continually be told how wonderful our schools are when I know they are not. The school board is real close to dictatorship as far as I'm concerned. They employ the most people in this county and it's so political. No such thing as non-partisan here.

Just blows me away. I'll never get to sleep now. lol.

The kids cannot stand up for themselves on this issue. Who will be doing it?

Mornin' Rose. I just read AW News. I would think that Sam Taylor and Cindy Schoolcraft would have grounds to make a complaint to the Labor Board. Also, Ruth Brown too. I know if I were in their shoes, I would sure give it a shot.

This business of messing with people's way of earning a living to support their families and ruining a person's reputation is repulsive. There must be some recourse for these people, unless of course, there is something they have done that we don't know about and I really doubt that that is the case.

I sure would like to see something positive and uplifting for a change.

ROSE said...

Hey, b...rulz! If half the people in this county acted on the things they have grounds for, our 300+ acres of WV would end up at the bottom of hell from the weight of the attorneys. LOL

The very minute we get ethical justice in Clay County, we're going to shoot to the top of the employment scale; we'll have to hire hundreds to clean up all the droppings from the flying pigs.
