Butt scratchin' ... around the world.

'mornin, SB! If you attend any of the public meetings & listen very carefully, you'll hear, "If you'd git yer dang hand outta my way, I'd kiss 'at thang!" ...

I distinctly remember various family members glued to the TV every time PTL came on. Jim Bakker opened his mouth; they sent him a check. If I had all the $$ thrown at him just by people I know, I could float Jack Whittaker a loan...

Imagine! What a new concept!

Personally, I'm hoping the state of the world has forced God to grade on a scale; the more hypocrites we have, the better chance the rest of us have for avoiding hell. Hypocrites keep the population in heaven at a managable level, ya know.

WHOA!!! Hold on a minute. Don't go lumping all the non-profit groups into the hypocrite category. I have personal, first-hand knowledge of the place called Heart-to-Heart and those folks don't make a dime for themselves. They are a group of people who volunteer their time and energy to help others. They take donated items and sell them for anywhere from a quarter to a few dollars. They first have to pay $400 a month for rent; over $100 a month for a dumpster because some people use them to get rid of stuff that no one would have; they pay for their phone; and they pay the State sales tax at the end of every quarter.

With what they have left after paying the expenses, they keep a food pantry stocked and also help folks when they have the money to do so with prescriptions and other various needs. Also, when there is a house fire, they let the people get anything they can use and charge them absolutely nothing.

If you don't believe this, just go see for yourself. They're in Clay so they won't be hard to find if you really want to check it out.

Speaking of butt scractchin'.
Why does our little sandwich artist employer even bother to take an order??

Seems petty now that I'm typing this, but the fact still remains that if I order a sandwich, tell them what I want on it. WHY is it that they can NEVER put on it what I want??? I loathe cukes on a sandwich, making sure to tell them NO CUKES, I assume the little lady asking me what I want is writing it down (or checking boxes) and then get it home and BAMMM! Cukes plus a lot of other unwanted items. I even talk very slowly when ordering so as not to confuse anyone. I simply do not get it!

Yup, I pulled the cukes off and jalapeno peppers and ate it anyway.

Ya'll have a good day, I need to excuse myself to go get a nice cold drink. I think that perhaps a little pepper juice lingered within my sandwich.
And my personal favorite is the Christian Service Center, there are some lovely ladies that run that place. Same concept as heart to heart, everyone volunteers their time no money is made there either.

I think everyone should volunteer to help others in some way. Even if it's just something small to start with. Usually something small will turn into something bigger because volunteering makes you feel good about yourself.
I know what you mean anon about the sandwhich makers. I don't like produce of any sort of my sandwiches and there is always the lettuce, pickles or the P-U onions!

SB, if I said it, you've got free license to repeat it at will. No copyrights on anything that comes out of my mouth, even if it's via my keyboard. teeheehee

There are all kinds of non-profit organizations - both faith-based and otherwise - that you never hear word one about. They simply go through their day-to-day operations, doing what needs done & never seeking recognition. These people are the reason God retains architects & engineers.

It's always the publicity hounds feeding their own feelings of inadequacy who we hear about constantly. The same can be said about just about every organization/company/agency in the world. These would be the reason God builds palaces & not trailer parks - they insure there's always plenty of space.

If I ever beat the current lottery winnings record, I'm building a water plant every 10 miles in Clay. The profits will be used to build private schools in every district. No tuition. Uniforms will be provided to all children, free of charge, as will all daily meals. School decisions will be made by a majority rule vote of parents. No bureaucracy.

But first I gotta get up off a dollar & buy a ticket .......

Congrats to Don Jarvis. Thanks to AW for the recognition of Don's contributions to this Town and County. Don is a brillant individualist who knows how to get things done. No whoopla, no nonesense. To borrow a much used phrase, he sure knows how to "Git er Done."

Butt scratchin'. Oh, dear, where to begin. Nah, not even going to start. Living here in our little corner of the world, there's so many OMG's just with the politics alone, this post would go on forever.

Hey, Rose. Thought you'd be out since it's Saturday night. Oh, forgot. No place to go unless you drive 50 miles, have no kids, have money to spend, etc. hahahahaha.

What happened to smiley? haven't seen her anywhere.

AAARRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!! I want each & every person who visits this site - especially the baboons & idiots - to visit the following link?

http://www.godhatesfags.com/fliers/jan2006/20060106_miners-memorial.pdf

THEN, (see how shaky this is? ARRGGHHH!!!!) ... well, there's a "congregation" that's making a heap site more room in heaven.

I so wish I could go to Buckhannon tomorrow. I think they should allow every member of every family who lost a loved one one to "host" one of these people. No records, no clues, nobody saw nuthin' .....

Yeah, I'm working on my attitude & trying to be a better person. Obviously, I've got a loooooong way to go.

WTF??? What do they have against Tallman, WV.
I just read the in depth article about the Southern Poverty Law Center. It's a scorcher.
